We was in the clubhouse on the 27/10/23 when the entertainment was Stripey Craig singing. He was on for about 1hr when he then went off stage and started to mouth of and tell the girls off in the DJ box, infront of everyone with guests and owners able to hear what was being said. He then proceeded to kick one of the girls out of the clubhouse and was told to "go home". A family then got targeted by Craig when he went over and shouted at guests! When all that they was doing was leaving the club to go home and that is when they found the girl outside in floods of tears. So they offered support to her and looked after her as Craig is being very rude to them as well. He keeps making digs at the girls over the microphone and criticising there work all the time, rhere is nights where he has been so moody and snapping at guests kids and adults as well. However the two girl stripeys are incredible! They are so lovely, talk to there guests and gets both owners and guests involved in gameshows. So nice to the children, very caring and loving. The only way that we will come back to this site next year Is if stripey Kira and Chloe are here. NO WAY are we coming back if its Craig as us and other guests don't come on holiday to get shouted at or have comments made about you over the microphone multiple times throughout the nights.…

We had a cheap long weekend at South Bay this past weekend and must say we thoroughly enjoyed it. A very basic caravan site but it has all you need. The caravan had seen better days with mould in most rooms, but the heating worked amazingly well. The pool was small and very cold so we didn’t use it much. The entertainment was hit and miss, I can’t remember the name of the male children’s entertainer but he was excellent. The thing that made it for us was the amazing hike and views just off the caravan site that we weren’t expecting. Honestly, that is probably the only reason we would return to this site. It was stunning.

This was our second visit this year. We stayed in a silver chalet in the back row. It was great having a dishwasher this time you don’t realise how long washing up after dinner takes. We could come back from a day out cook dinner eat and just put the stuff in the machine while we got ready and went to the club and not worry about it. We thought it would have been quieter coming back in late September but it was still nice and lively We came in May earlier and last year earlier in September but we expected that week to be a bit subdued as the Queen had died. Being a disabled person I found the chalets a lot easier than the caravan especially for showering. The chalet showers are double size and walk in with 2 shower heads. I had a problem with the steps up to the chalet from the club end but if you walk up through the car park to the other end there’s no steps apart from the ones into the chalet. The main problem there is there’s no handrail so I had to hold my husbands shoulder getting in and going out holding the door frame hoping the wind didn’t blow the door shut and go out backwards. The bedroom was lovely and clean and so was the kitchen and living room. Craig and his enthusiasm and his team made the evenings enjoyable. It’s a great place for using as a base to visit other parts of Torbay. The only thing that ruined our holiday was a train strike and we had to stay in a hotel but it gave us an extra day on the beach at Paignton. We will be back…

First time staying at John Fowler. Definitely off season time, due to the lack of people in the entertainment venue. Staff always super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the gold chalet, and was pleasantly surprised!! Looks so small from the outside, but couldn't believe it was a 2 bed and really lovely fully kitted out kitchen. The only downside was the beds. They were soft and so bouncy for us, that each time we moved it felt as though you were on a water bed. Didn't get a full sleep each of our 4 nights and the sofas were hard. Was jealous of others that we could see with soft sofas. Fabulous venue location especially if you've got your own transport. Would visit another location.

Great park, brilliant staff, lovely accommodation, safe park for kids and a local bus that pulls up outside the gates, prices are very reasonable. There is an onsite shop for all your needs and plenty for kids and adults in the entertainment

We had an excellent weekend, facilities good, site maintained to a good standard, staff friendly and helpful, the highlight of our stay was the entertainment, the team Craig, Kira and Chloe were amazing entertaining the crowd in a very professional manner thoroughly enjoyed our nights. It was great,Chloe,Kira and Craig made sure all the children were happy and there was stuff for the children to do,would be a bit better if the outside pool was cleaned a bit better but amazing service from the stripeys and I loved when the characters came out to say hi to the children it was amazing experience will hopefully be coming back in August would love to see Kira and Chloe here again.
