We returned out of season between Christmas and New Year 2018 knowing we could relax - and start our days with a great breakfast. A really great breakfast. We arrived tired and scratchy from working hard right up to Christmas morning, then left Raddicombe Lodge rested and

We stayed here with my very elderly mother. Graham and Kay were wonderful hosts with Graham being most attentive to my mother - nothing was too much trouble. Terrific views from our rooms; a light and airy breakfast room (the breakfasts were delicious) and a comfortable lounge.

This is a lovely place to stay just outside Brixham and 10 minute drive from NT Colton Fishacre. Doggy friendly, we had room 7 which has a great view across the fields to nearby Brixham and the sea. It was foggy last night so we could lay in bed listening to the distant fog horn

2 night stay, large clean room with lovely view and everything we needed. Breakfast excellent, freshly prepared and very tasty. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble from the hosts, be it directions to nearest dog walk, dog friendly places or any other query. After a long

Where do I start. From the outside it looks nice and I notice that almost all of the photos are of the outside. As we entered, a very unpleasant and pungent smell of god knows what greeted us. The room was tired, dirty and grim. The bedding was old and tired. The carpet was

Such a shame when people hide behind reviews and don't have the courage or respect to discuss any issues during their stay. No mention of course as to the wide choice on the breakfast menu or the quality of the breakfast itself. For info we have been awarded a breakfast award for the last 6 years! Yes, very sad that no mention of any issues were raised during your stay. The facts however are worth pointing out.....Glasses are provided for bottled water and can be found in the ensuite shower rooms. Rooms are cleaned and vacuumed every day. Beds are prepared with freshly laundered pressed bed linen in advance of guests arriving. From the photos it appears that you stayed in one of our double or twin bedded rooms and by your review it was in July. Our double/twin room rate in July is £92 per night or £102 for a 1 night stay, so not sure where the £110 you stated came from. Clearly you weren't happy which is shame but disappointing that your comments are somewhat wide of the facts.

Hi, We are lucky here with so many dog friendly pubs/restaurants all with 2 or 3 miles of Raddicombe. The Ship In. In Kingswear is very dog friendly, as is the Manor Inn at Galmpton. There's also the Berry Head Hotel which allows dog in the bar area on on the terrace. When you arrive we can explain about dog friendly beaches and pubs. Hope this helps. If not give us a call on 01803 882125 to discuss. Regards Graham and Kay Raddicombe Lodge.

Hi, Nicky. Thanks for your enquiry. Our website fully explains our dog friendly policy but the basic points are that we serve breakfast in either the conservatory dining room, or in the garden, patio or our decking area which has superb views over Brixham Start Bay or Lyme Bay. Many of our guests have breakfast with their dogs in the garden patio or deck area or if not they pop them back in the car during breakfast time. We don't allow dogs to be left unattended in the bedrooms so the last option is for you to take breakfast up into your bedroom with your dog. We hope that the above has answered your question. If not please call us on 01803 882125 and we can explain fully the various options. We look forward to being able to welcome you and your dog to Raddicmbe Lodge in the future. Best regards Graham and Kay
