We got married in a very small ceremony at Burgh Island in October 2016 and it was, quite simply, perfect. Burgh is a truly magical place - exquisitely beautiful, exclusive, wonderfully peculiar, friendly and relaxed. Heaven.

We spent the weekend at Burgh Island to celebrate our pearl wedding anniversary. Well, when you get to a certain age you really start to appreciate the special things in life. Burgh Island is certainly one of life’s special places and has been on our “to do” list for far too long! We arrived on the Friday afternoon to be...

We booked for our extended family of 11 to have lunch at the hotel for our daughter's 21st. The weather was beautifully sunny and windy and we all found it most exciting to be swept into the hotel and to go back on the sea tractor. We loved the kind staff and felt the Great Gatsby and Daisy would have...

From the moment we drove over the top of the hill and saw Burgh Island shining in the distance surrounded by blue sea and skies we just knew this would be a perfect visit. We had arranged to park our cars in the hotel's garage on the mainland and were met there by two Range Rovers. The drivers collected all...

Wow! i had wanted to stay at the Burgh Island hotel for as long as i can remember. My partner took me as a birthday gift at the end of october. The weather was unseasonably warm. With such high expectations, i was concerned that my expecation would not be matched but I was wrong! it was EVEN BETTER than i...

This was our second visit to this hotel. Often returning to a place is a recipe for disappointment. Not so here. It was every bit as peaceful and welcoming as our last stay a couple of years ago. Don't go there if you're looking for fake plastic luxury - you won't get it. The rooms are all unique and comfortably...

Stay here for the fun of dressing up and behaving as if you were living as a socialite in the 1920's. Don't expect to then tap into WhatApps and Google or have TV in your room - thats not what it about. Staff are all lovely with special mention to Zara and Martina and the Manager Vald . And I...

This place is an art deco homage to the bygone jazz era, gloriously isolated on small rocky island jutting into the Atlantic Ocean, and filled with deco furniture and details. Recommend you go to a black-tie dinner, in the beautiful ballroom, and have a couple of Martinis in the impressive bar. Most hotels are bland identikit replicas, but this one...

We stayed at the Burgh Island hotel for two nights to celebrate a special birthday and the hotel, food and all the staff made it very enjoyable. The setting is amazing,- on an island with a lovely beach and it was great to watch the tide coming in and going out from our room,- the Noel Coward suite. The arrangements...

From the moment we first spotted the hotel as we drove into Bigbury on Sea, to the last sight as we departed we had an absolutely fantastic time. The arrival instructions were to telephone St Ann's Chapel, we then received the final directions and the code for the secure carpark. By the time we reached the car park a driver...
