Surreally Sumptuooous! If you love Art Deco and/or just love beautiful people, beautiful food and a stunning location DO put it in your bucket list. Thank you to the staff for their nothing is too much trouble/treat you like a human being rather than a customer approach!

After visiting in August for my annual Birthday treat, we decided to go again just a few days before Christmas. It is always very special walking through those doors no matter how many times you go. Vlad and his team make you feel very welcome every time. Even an overnight stay makes you feel like you have been away for...

We have been visiting the beaches of Bigbury and Bantham for many years as our children grew up. Imagine our delight, when for Christmas this year, they treated us to a stay at this magnificent Art Deco hotel. It was so exciting to arrive and to be whisked across the sands to this heavenly place. The weather was ghastly, but...

My partner of many years was celebrating a milestone birthday in January, so in collaboration with her daughter, we decided to make it a memorable occasion. Madge had always been a great admirer of the "Art Deco" period since she fell in love with Clarice Cliff over 40 years ago. Joy, her daughter, had presented Madge with an antique Mont...

I went here for a surprise 50th for my wife. I was dubious of the cost, but these 2 nights and 3 days were simply the best time we have ever had. The Hotel is beautifully styled and if you love Art Deco, this is the place for you. The staff are exemplary, nothing is to much trouble and the...

Exceeded all our expectations-perfect in every detail, brilliant service, and a truly inspired chef. Thank you again! This was my wife's birthday and I'm so grateful to all the staff for making it a memorable occasion.

Enjoyed a stay here for my 50th birthday - a real treat. Glorious views and fab cocktails. Our room was amazing - original deco bathroom, balcony and sea views. The Pilchard Inn is a cosy retreat with lovely local tipples and the evening meals in the 1920s dining room was great. Sea tractor was fun.

I booked the hotel as a secret for my husband's birthday as we had always talked about going. It lived up to all expectations. We were staying in the Beach House which is apart from the main hotel and completely secluded. Our view was straight out over the sea. We opted for the curry night at the Pilchard Inn, which...

We got married in a very small ceremony at Burgh Island in October 2016 and it was, quite simply, perfect. Burgh is a truly magical place - exquisitely beautiful, exclusive, wonderfully peculiar, friendly and relaxed. Heaven.

We spent the weekend at Burgh Island to celebrate our pearl wedding anniversary. Well, when you get to a certain age you really start to appreciate the special things in life. Burgh Island is certainly one of life’s special places and has been on our “to do” list for far too long! We arrived on the Friday afternoon to be...
