I went here for a surprise 50th for my wife. I was dubious of the cost, but these 2 nights and 3 days were simply the best time we have ever had. The Hotel is beautifully styled and if you love Art Deco, this is the place for you. The staff are exemplary, nothing is to much trouble and the...

Exceeded all our expectations-perfect in every detail, brilliant service, and a truly inspired chef. Thank you again! This was my wife's birthday and I'm so grateful to all the staff for making it a memorable occasion.

Enjoyed a stay here for my 50th birthday - a real treat. Glorious views and fab cocktails. Our room was amazing - original deco bathroom, balcony and sea views. The Pilchard Inn is a cosy retreat with lovely local tipples and the evening meals in the 1920s dining room was great. Sea tractor was fun.

I booked the hotel as a secret for my husband's birthday as we had always talked about going. It lived up to all expectations. We were staying in the Beach House which is apart from the main hotel and completely secluded. Our view was straight out over the sea. We opted for the curry night at the Pilchard Inn, which...

We got married in a very small ceremony at Burgh Island in October 2016 and it was, quite simply, perfect. Burgh is a truly magical place - exquisitely beautiful, exclusive, wonderfully peculiar, friendly and relaxed. Heaven.

We spent the weekend at Burgh Island to celebrate our pearl wedding anniversary. Well, when you get to a certain age you really start to appreciate the special things in life. Burgh Island is certainly one of life’s special places and has been on our “to do” list for far too long! We arrived on the Friday afternoon to be...

We booked for our extended family of 11 to have lunch at the hotel for our daughter's 21st. The weather was beautifully sunny and windy and we all found it most exciting to be swept into the hotel and to go back on the sea tractor. We loved the kind staff and felt the Great Gatsby and Daisy would have...

From the moment we drove over the top of the hill and saw Burgh Island shining in the distance surrounded by blue sea and skies we just knew this would be a perfect visit. We had arranged to park our cars in the hotel's garage on the mainland and were met there by two Range Rovers. The drivers collected all...

Wow! i had wanted to stay at the Burgh Island hotel for as long as i can remember. My partner took me as a birthday gift at the end of october. The weather was unseasonably warm. With such high expectations, i was concerned that my expecation would not be matched but I was wrong! it was EVEN BETTER than i...

This was our second visit to this hotel. Often returning to a place is a recipe for disappointment. Not so here. It was every bit as peaceful and welcoming as our last stay a couple of years ago. Don't go there if you're looking for fake plastic luxury - you won't get it. The rooms are all unique and comfortably...
