We went for the lunch menu as a gift voucher from a friend and we were really impressed! A small menu but could have picked everything! I had the hake , the beef then the cheesecake and the flavours were amazing, unusual and well rounded. The plate looked impressive and inviting and tasted just beautiful. A definite place to revisit...

Firstly we checked in around 3.30pm to the most beautiful room, with complimentary bubbly & chocolates. then off to the oak room for a delicious afternoon tea serving an array of cakes, desserts tea, coffee and the best scones ever. at 7pm we returned to the restaurant for our gourmet dinner - champagne and canapés served next to the lovely...

My wife and I went off for a birthday treat in early December. Northcote is tucked away and the approach to it really beautiful. I am a wedding photographer and whilst this isn't my area it didn't take much imagination to realise that this place must be an amazing spot to have your wedding. We stayed overnight and had a...

Many thanks for your great comments and 5-star review. It's great to know that you love Northcote Manor just as much as we do. We are popular as an exclusive use wedding venue and many couples also appreciate our romantic setting and sweeping landscape across the north Devon countryside. We will pass on your compliments to our Chef and hope...

Another opportunity to experience this lovely country house hotel. As usual, the staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was lovely and warm despite some adverse weather during the stay. The dinner was also superb with tasters, soup and then starter, main and dessert followed by coffee and petite four. A lovely setting with suitably attentive staff made a...

Our second visit to the Northcote Manor did not disappoint! We had a very pleasant and relaxed overnight stay in a Classic (standard) room which was comfortable. The only point I would make was that the windows need up-dating with double-glazing as they let in a cold draught. Otherwise, everything was fine. The highlight is the dining. Very pleased to...

Back in 2011 we went here for our 25th, now we hit our pearl anniversary (30) on 28/12/16 we went back. I booked well in advance to ensure I got a themed room and Richie was always there for all communications and quick responses. Last time we had a gourmet menu and 5 years later we still talk about it,...

So, lovely room, nice secure area for dog, spotlessly clean etc etc - I defy anyone to find anything to complain about on that front. Food wise......to describe it as a mixed bag is about right, perhaps slightly generous. I was having a vegetarian menu with wine flight, yet two of my three capapies contained meat - I had fish...

Stayed for 2 nights on a gourmet break. Location is amazing with lovely views. Suite was very spacious with walk-in shower and bath. White fluffy towels and bathrobes. Homemade shortbread biscuits bottles of water mints and apples in the room in addition to usual teas and coffees. Food was delicious and included scrumptious canapés and amuse bouche. Staff were professional...

Having already enjoyed stays at Northcote's sister hotel (The Lake Country House Hotel), we wondered whether the same high standards would be provided ~ we needn't have worried. Although on a much smaller scale than The Lake, Nortcote Manor provides high quality accommodation and wonderful food, supported by friendly helpful staff. It's location in the North Devon countryside makes it...
