Bowhayes Farm is a thatched Devon longhouse built, we think, in the 1600's. We have tried to retain its period features wherever possible and the accommodation has been finished to a very high standard using natural materials such as reclaimed oak and slate. We offer 2 double bedrooms (one can be made up as a twin), each with private bathrooms and guests have use of a sitting room with wood burning stove, satellite TV, DVD and Wi-Fi. A additional double room is also available for larger parties (short stays only). Breakfast can be a choice of English or continental and is sourced from local produce whenever possible. We provide a well appointed kitchenette with mini oven, microwave, toaster and fridge for guests own use as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Catering for lunch, tea and supper can be arranged at extra cost (bookable in advance only). The farm sits on the hill above Culmstock and enjoys breathtaking views along the Culm valley and on a clear day across to Exmoor. £55 Per person per night.

Bowhayes Farm is everything you want in a country retreat. Beautiful location, warm, friendly, comfortable and a delicious hearty breakfast. If that isn’t enough there’s a stunning view as far as the eye can see. Thank you Lucinda, you will be seeing us again.

What a place - Absolutely wonderful! I’ve just spent 5 nights at Bowhayes Farm, which is the best B & B I’ve ever stayed in. Lucinda and Joff are delightful people and great hosts. The place is spotlessly clean, with piles of big fluffy towels, and the most delicious

Ah yes Toby we would have enjoyed that too! You will just have to visit your relatives again and stay with us long enough for your wife to have a session or two of De-Stressage with the horses! Hope to see you soon.

Thank you Steve for that! I do apologise for not warning you that we have a combi boiler so bath running is best staggered. We just got so caught up with race car chat but that is a hazard with enthusiasts! Ordinarily, on booking, you would also have received our directions that would have brought you straight here but now you know where we are that will not be a problem. Look forward to seeing you again soon. Best wishes, Lucinda

Apologies but we have 5 resident dogs so it is not really fair on them to allow dogs at the moment. So sorry!

"Both rooms were amazing lovely views"
"Take in the views, enjoy the breakfast and have a chat with Lucinda about the amazing work she does with the horses."
"Any room is great. It's all good at Bowhayes."
"You could not go wrong with this farm Lucinda is a lovely landlord"
"Not recommended for any elderly person with a poor sense of balance, who might fall down the stairs, which in places do not have a hand rail. I also recommend that you take a torch with you, in case you need to visit the toilet in the middle of the night without waking your husband/wife by turning on the light."
