Mitchelcroft is set in 5 acres of hayfields and garden and lies within the Dartmoor National Park, nestling in a beautiful patchwork of hillsides on the edge of the moor. Scoriton makes a good base for a longer stay. Wonderful walking either on the coast (a short drive away), the National Trust's Hembury Woods with its wild daffodils, bluebells and river dart at its base, or, of course, Dartmoor is on the doorstep. There is secure bike storage and some wonderful routes over Dartmoor direct from the house if cycling is your interest. A five minute walk from the house takes you to our lovely local pub, The Tradesman's Arms, serving great food every night of the week.Mitchelcroft is close to Holne, Ashburton, Buckfastleigh

Parking is off the road which is very convenient. The room we stayed in had lovely views over the meadows. I think was the Holden and Hambery rooms. Great selection of food for breakfast. The poached eggs are very good with the local bacon.

Was initially a little tricky in finding but was well worth the effort! Debbie and Michael made us feel most welcome and we had a delightful 3 nights stay with them. If we go back to Cornwall we will definitely be booking with them again!

We have been staying at Mitchel Croft for over 3 years now and can’t fault any part of our stays. Debbie and Micheal make you feel extremely welcome and nothing is to much trouble. We recommend eating at Mitchelcroft at least for one night as the platters Debbie produces are

well appointed B&B, with loads of features to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. Great breakfast and homemade cakes for afternoon cup of tea treats. The games, books & open fire in the dedicated guest living room was a cosy delight.
