Stayed one night whilst walking the Devon coast to coast and was not disappointed. This cottage is unique due to its age. Despite the age of the building the rooms are very well furnished with the twin having an en suite. The owner is very helpful and provides an excellent breakfast.

My wife and I wanted a bed and breakfast stay in a cottage from where we could explore Dartmoor. Our hostess Shelagh gave us a memorable little holiday with her breakfasts, helpful advice on the local area and friendly attentiveness. We won't forget our breakfasts in the garden with views of Dartmoor and in particular Meldon Hill.

This is a really old house so you can't expect large modern bedrooms or bathrooms. I personally love interesting historic buildings and our charming hostess was very pleased to relate some of the facts she has discovered over the years including a possibility it may once have been a house of ill repute! We're all so used to 5 star...

I stayed for one night at Cyprian's Cot. This place was perfect for a night's stay before a long working day. Shelagh couldn't do enough for me. I was offered a cuppa or a glass of wine as soon as I arrived after a long drive. The room was lovely with a fantastic en suite which I wasn't expecting and...

A quaint cottage nestling in a row close to the centre of Chagford. I was greeted with coffee and cake in the cosy sitting room, filled with books and local maps. My ensuite room was comfortable, although I would have appreciated a hairdryer. The shower was hot and the bed sleep-inducing. Breakfast was a true feast - fresh fruit, yogurt,...

This was our second stay here and to be honest I thought that with time I may have been looking back with rose tinted glasses - but I wasn't. Cyprian's cot is a delightful cottage with all the querks of an old very house, small irregular shaped rooms, wonky floors, etc., etc. Sheelagh was poorly when we arrived so her...

We've stayed here four times over the course of several years. Each time Sheelagh has been very welcoming and friendly. Her breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. If you're looking for a super chic, boutique, trendy B&B, then don't stay here! This is a rustic, charming, and traditional cottage with a large open fire in the sitting room and creaking floorboards!...

Just had a 3 night stay whilst working in area. Lovely owner, very welcoming. Quaint little room. Very clean. Breakfast was very superior. Had a HUGE bowl of fresh fruit to pick from; followed by toast/cereal etc; followed by full english breakfast. All served in her best china ~ a lovely touch. Someone else has commented the rooms were too...

Bedrooms far too small - would not stay again. The bedrooms are not suitable to be sold for B and B purposes. You were constantly bumping in to furniture and the bathroom needs updating. Real shame as the breakfast I coul not fault. Also it was lovely having the use of a sitting room. I felt it was really cheeky...
