I stayed here for four days and enjoyed myself very much. The place is very much family orientated but as a sole traveller I did not feel out of place. The staff are great, helpful and knowledgeable. The food is brilliant if you do not want to self cater. I can strongly recommend the macaroni cheese. The only downside was...

I stayed here for 4 nights, rooms were tiny, there was no space to put our stuff, there was sand in our beds too. As there was sand in my bed, as soon as I got there, I decided to take a shower, the shower that I used was very small and had a strange smell to it, I wasn't...

We spent 3 days here at over the August bank holiday. We booked the full catered activity break for us our 2 kids (9 and 13) as it was way cheaper than booking everything separately and we thought we'd give the food a go and have a break from busy kitchens and washing up. We were apprehensive about the food...

Thanks to staff, especially restaurant crew for a great stop over on our journey south. Clean, well aired rooms with plenty of space. Slightly tired but perfectly adequate bathrooms. We ate on site for both dinner and breakfast and were very well fed. The communal kitchen was very well resourced. Would definitely stay there again.

This is fair a accommodation. Not all the communal showers and bathrooms are particularly great, some even had a small smell to it. The rooms were not particularly spacious, and a big problem was that there were not many plugs available--there were only two in six bed dorm. This was lower than typical YHA standards.

Over night stay here . Pleasant surroundings and good idea to use an old railway station. Our room was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meal was available on site. Shower rooms could do with a makeover, otherwise a good place to stay.

Stayed for one night with 3 adults. I don't have a lot of experience with YHA but this one seemed perfectly OK. Good rooms that were clean, basic and what you expect with bunk beds. Location is quite some way from the main town and also up a steep hill. Breakfast was good quality, varied and enough. Staff we met...

After lovely stays at YHA Lizard and Coverack, this was definitely sub-standard. The 6 bed room was fine, although the storage cages looked battered. Part of the floor in the male toilet block was permanently wet (water hopefully!), there were no hooks near the wash basins to hang your towel etc, and no shower curtain. Dinner was not offered on...

Stayed with friends for the one night in a six bed with bathroom, had pre booked a gorge scrambling in the afternoon which was hilarious fun, the instructors kept the motivation of our group going the whole time. We had planned to walk to town to eat but stayed and ate in the hostel instead; the food was as good...

Stayed with my family for short break and enjoyed our stay very much. The children really enjoyed playing pool and table tennis in the games room. Our bedroom and ensuite were both spacious and clean. We were able to self cater which helped to keep holiday costs down but treated ourselves to a meal in the onsite restaurant which was...
