Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here as we were attending a family wedding , on arrival we were told which pitch had been allocated & aall looked fine. Toilet block is emaculate & showers are good, pitches are very large & well soaced out, they are also fully serviced, however ours was at the bottom of a dip, then it rained. The water just pooled & we were in a bog, mud everywhere it was horrendous, the worst pitch we have erver used in 20yrs of caravaning. The owner did give us 2 large rubber mats to put down but the mud even came up through them. I think if they spent some money on maintaining theses pitches ie drainage ect this would be a first class place to stay. The amount of cleaning we had to do on our return home was aweful our awning was a mess as was the groundsheet, 3 days of cleaning after a holiday not what we both wanted.

We have just driven off site and wanted to write a review. We had 2 nights here with 2 families with children and had a lovely time. The shower blocks and kitchen area was immaculately clean and it's was so quiet and peaceful. The children loved the water jets area and playing on the huge field playing football etc. I highly recommend this place and if you want to come with lots of families it's perfect for all being together.

Great place, very peaceful, great facilities, no shop so bring your own booze. Staff could not be more helpful. Dog welcome with well behaved owners. Top advice though do not follow your satnav to this place.

One of the best sites I have been to, absolutely fantastic! Nice small site with big area in the middle for children to play. Water fountain for children to play in as well. Large area where you can let your dogs run around. Wardens are very friendly. Toilets and showers are kept very clean! South Breazle is close to places whilst being out of the way. I would definitely come back to this brilliant site and would recommend it to anyone!

Where do I start? Huge pitches, fully serviced, most hard standing and spaced so far apart you need a taxi to talk to your neighbour! Well kept open spaces and there are plenty of them too with a huge area in the centre not used for pitches. An extremely helpful and friendly warden (and Mrs Warden!) who look after the site and facilities. The facilities are amazing and though we've been on many sites over the years these are most certainly, without a doubt, the best we've found. Huge free showers, with outside space within each one to undress and a chair to sit on. Super clean toilets each with it's own wash basin, and a row of basins with soap dispensers and even a vase of flowers! All this and free fast WiFi too. Super waste water system too, in fact every little thing has been catered for to make this site so user friendly. Absolute peace and quiet with views over Roadford Lake but if you want to eat at the Clovelly Inn in the village booking is essential, as we found out. Our van is stored on site and that gets top marks too for price and security, but it's the first time we've actually stayed on the caravan park but it certainly won't be the last. Try it, you won't be able to fault it!

A very nice, simple and quiet camp site. Very dog friendly. The showers are hot and powerful, the toilets spacious and clean. There's a little freezer and a chance to wash and dry laundry. And free WiFi near the building (no connection at the bottom camp sites). It would have been nice if we could charge our phones somewhere. Very beautiful surroundings with so many options for great walks. In the information area of the building there are maps of the environment and info on castles and other things to visit/do. We had a very pleasant stay!

A great location - so tranquil and peaceful. The park warden is wonderfully helpful and the owners are welcoming and friendly. The pitches are fantastically laid out and the privacy is great. Toilet block as others have mentioned is without fault - beautifully clean. The only reason that we have not awarded the full 5 stars is because the track from the main road to the main camping field is a bit hazardous. Our outfit has good ground clearance but there are a great deal of potholes (could have been caused by the poor weather recently) and our jockey wheel kept fouling the track each time we went through a particularly deep pothole. Other than that - we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!
