Detailed Reviews
A great location - so tranquil and peaceful. The park warden is wonderfully helpful and the owners are welcoming and friendly.
The pitches are fantastically laid out and the privacy is great. Toilet block as others have mentioned is without fault - beautifully clean.
The only reason that we have not awarded the full 5 stars is because the track from the main road to the main camping field is a bit hazardous. Our outfit has good ground clearance but there are a great deal of potholes (could have been caused by the poor weather recently) and our jockey wheel kept fouling the track each time we went through a particularly deep pothole.
Other than that - we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

I love this campsite; it's the third visit for me with years in between each visit however always maintains the same high standard.
What I love about this campsite is that the grounds are very well maintained and the facilities (showers & toilets) are always perfect.
We camped with a tent and has Stargazer pitch; great size pitch but this can be said for all pitches.
We are already planning our next trip back . . .

We stayed here as we were attending a family wedding , on arrival we were told which pitch had been allocated & aall looked fine. Toilet block is emaculate & showers are good, pitches are very large & well soaced out, they are also fully serviced, however ours was at the bottom of a dip, then it rained. The water just pooled & we were in a bog, mud everywhere it was horrendous, the worst pitch we have erver used in 20yrs of caravaning. The owner did give us 2 large rubber mats to put down but the mud even came up through them. I think if they spent some money on maintaining theses pitches ie drainage ect this would be a first class place to stay. The amount of cleaning we had to do on our return home was aweful our awning was a mess as was the groundsheet, 3 days of cleaning after a holiday not what we both wanted.

Where do I start? Huge pitches, fully serviced, most hard standing and spaced so far apart you need a taxi to talk to your neighbour!
Well kept open spaces and there are plenty of them too with a huge area in the centre not used for pitches. An extremely helpful and friendly warden (and Mrs Warden!) who look after the site and facilities.
The facilities are amazing and though we've been on many sites over the years these are most certainly, without a doubt, the best we've found. Huge free showers, with outside space within each one to undress and a chair to sit on. Super clean toilets each with it's own wash basin, and a row of basins with soap dispensers and even a vase of flowers! All this and free fast WiFi too.
Super waste water system too, in fact every little thing has been catered for to make this site so user friendly. Absolute peace and quiet with views over Roadford Lake but if you want to eat at the Clovelly Inn in the village booking is essential, as we found out.
Our van is stored on site and that gets top marks too for price and security, but it's the first time we've actually stayed on the caravan park but it certainly won't be the last. Try it, you won't be able to fault it!

This camp site is really lovely, great big pitches, fantastically designed shower block and so clean.Nice mix of tents & caravans and fab lay out. A real bonus to choose your pitch at time of on line booking. The wardens are friendly and helpful too...my only disappointment was that I read in one of the other reviews that the pub is 15 minutes walk away....oh no it isnt ! Its at least 30 minutes hike through the farm and up and down lanes, but well worth the 5 minute drive though with excellent food and prices. Very quiet after dark...nice area for geocaching btw .

An excellent website making it possible to click on your chosen pitch to book, is a nice touch. Also named pitches gives better feel!
Driving up a long farm lane means it is very peaceful, and hearing woodpeckers, owls, etc, was lovely. Large pitches, clearly defined by hedges (serviced ones with own tap and electric hook-up) with choice of gravel, grass, or half-and-half, are very good. Plenty of space for families with children to play without disturbing everyone else, plus a 'fun fountain' with jets that squirt up from the ground which children seem to really enjoy.
The shower block is probably among the best - large cubicles, chairs in each one, plenty of hot water, and spotlessly clean.
We did not see the owners but you check in via an internal phone. Free wi-fi if you need to order your grocery delivery, but we drove to Tesco at Launceston about 5 miles away.
Overall our favourite site so far!

Lovely clean site, huge pitches with water and electric hook up. Shower and toilet block immaculate, good washing up and laundry facilities.
It is in the middle of no-where so be prepared to drive to Launceston or Okehampton for shopping, no on site shop.
Not far to Cornwall, Padstow, Tintagel etc. or Exeter, Torquay etc.
We came here to meet up with friends, bad choice for this as it's so quiet we annoyed our neighbours which of course we didn't mean to do!
On the dot of 10 there is a hush and you feel you can't utter a word!
The husband of the warden couple was rude and grumpy, how dare I wash up at 11am and I thought he was going to have a fit when we asked for tokens for the washing machine!
The driveway up to the site could do with the pot-holes being sorted out too.
Other than that, beautiful location and if you want peace and quiet this is for you.

An excellent site, nice and peaceful, washing and toilet facilities always spotless, the Clovelly inn about 15 mins walk, has an extensive menu and the food is better than some of your posh restaurants.
The whole of Devon and Cornwall can be reached within an hours drive

Easy booking system, meant I could choose my pitch online! Tucked away down a quiet lane means the site is really quiet and peaceful. Large pitches with large playing area in the middle. Toilet block was large and very clean with fab showers, will be back soon!
