We stayed here for one night on our Two moors walk. It is an old cottage in the centre of Widecombe so everything is very close to hand. The cottage is an old traditional building complete with huge fireplaces and hanging hooks in the ceiling (for meat, not people!), probably extended many times over the years. To reach our room...

We stayed here one night while walking The Two Moors Way and it worked out fine, but I'm not sure this would be a good base for a longer stay in the area. The bedroom was a decent size but with quite a small double bed. The bathroom isn't en suite and is across the landing from the bedroom, but...

Had a lovely Easter stay here, enjoying walking in the beautiful area (when the sun was out!). Manor cottage is well equipped with books on local walks. It also has good wifi. The room is cosy, a lovely huge comfy bed, separate bathroom across the hallway with a hot shower, and small tv in room as well as kettle and...

We stayed for two nights for the fair and found it very warm, comfortable and private in our own little wing of the cottage. The breakfasts were wonderful with fresh fruit available too. We left with a selection of Diana's award winning vegetables to take home. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely couple of days. Food super, with fresh, home grown fruit as well as the excellent cooked breakfast. Room quiet, clean and comfortable and very private. We felt welcomed without any fuss and were given our privacy . But we were also offered the loan of maps and guide books for walking on the moors, which proved...

We had booked 2 nights at Manor Cottage recently. When we arrived there was no one at the B &B. We knocked several times, but gained no reply. On entering the porch area it was very dirty with dead leaves on the floor and cobwebs everywhere. On looking through the window to the property, the room looked very unkempt. We...

We stayed here over 2 years ago now but it was such a lovely, homely place I felt I should write a recommendation for Manor Cottage to encourage more visitors to stay as it is an excellent base to explore the fascinating moors and to go to the unique Rugglestone Inn which is just a short walk down a country...

Diana and Richard welcome you to their home which is in the heat of Widecombe in the Moor. There are 3 bedrooms which are perfect if you need to find accommodation for a group of friends or family. The view of the garden is really wonderful and the style of the B and B is relaxed and homely. We slept...

When you are walking the 2 Moors, accommodation right on the path is ideal and Manor Cottage, right in the centre of the village, was just that. Good welcome from Diana. Big room, well-appointed and although the bathroom was not en-suite it was across a private landing so was perfectly OK. Very good breakfast. Lovely garden, well-worth wandering around as...
