Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Chosen initially for location, we loved our stay here. The room was spacious, looked lovely and was really comfortable. Plus the views were great. The breakfast was generous and tasty, with quite a few options to chose from and cooked to order! Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful, with great local knowledge both in terms of places to eat and nearby walks. Would definitely recommend and make a return visit if ever back in the area.

This review is a little belated but we can honestly say Jenny cooks the best breakfast we have had the pleasure to eat. Mick was also an amazing host, making us feel very welcome and clearing up very well efficiently! Well done both of you, great place to stay on Dartmoor.

Chosen for it's location, promise of great views and a good breakfast and this excelled all expectations! During my stay I took part in Marie Curie 12 Tors & Wild Moors walk and was specific with my meal requirements prior to the strenuous challenge which the hosts were very understanding and kindly assisted with, no trouble at all. Very easy to find, private location, comfortable & clean rooms with brilliant views and an excellent breakfast - couldn't ask for more and have no hesitation in recommending this venue to everyone !!

An immaculate, spacious house in a beautiful, quiet location with stunning views, right on the moor but only a few minutes drive from Widecombe with its pubs and shops. The welcome is friendly, the bedrooms are comfortable and the breakfast was superb. Highly recommended.

Lovely farm B & B with direct access to the Moor, welcoming hosts well appointed rooms and delicious breakfast. We could not have asked for more. Pretty gardens and the decor in the good sized rooms reflect the colours of the moor. Attention to detail fresh flowers and the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen inc. power shower. Little jar of sweets in case you need a sugar rush after a walk to the nearby tor. Thoroughly enjoyable, can highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful stay. We stayed for 2 nights. The location is ideal 1mile from widecome in the moor so a great spot to stay for a walking holiday. The b and b is lovely and really relaxed with a lovely room and great views. Breakfast was great and the hosts were very pleasant and helpful. I cannot recommend this b and b highly enough.

We had a lovely stay at Holwell Bungalow. Mick and Jenny were accommodating from the minute we made our booking. The rooms are comfortable, breakfast is delicious and the views from all the windows is stunning. It was very interesting watching the mists come in over Haytor! The perfect place to stop and explore Dartmoor. We were working in Widecombe-in-the-Moor for a few days and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay. We'd definitely go back.

Excellent B&B with wonderful views, gracious friendly hosts and the most delicious breakfasts. Great location for exploring Dartmoor and Widecombe. On our hosts' recommendation we tried both the Cafe on the Green and the Rugglestone Inn, both of which were wonderful.

Had a lovely stay. Huge room with triple aspect windows and views of Haytor. The breakfast was so delicious we had to take some eggs and sausages home with us. It was a good base for running and waling on the moor, a bit of luxury at the end of the day and very good value.
