Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ian and Christine were great hosts, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast cooked by Christine was so tasty, a great choice of food on the menu(s) from porridge, pancakes, avocado, salmon to veggi breafast and full English! Our room was lovely, clean, gorgeously decorated, and not only a great view of the garden but a sea view through the trees. The room had so many extras to make it one of the best rooms I've stayed in, for instance, home made cakelets on our first welcoming night, with homemade biscuits each day next to tea and coffee facilities offering caffeine and de caff choices, hot chocolate and even horlicks. We had a couple boiled sweets left in the tray each day, squash for making a cold drink and fresh milk offered in communal hall downstairs if you didn't want longlife. We had a recycle bin, as well as waste, a drawer with notebook and pen we could use, umbrella, clothes brush and hot water bottle should anything be required. Lovely bathroom with bath and shower and matching snugly towels. Top marks for everything. I would definitely recommend this lovely tucked away quiet place off the main road with only a short walk to bus stop or train station down the road. Oh, and in their hall, they even sell home made jam, marmalades, chocs, sweets and their yummy biscuits. What a choice. Very Impressed.

This establishment gets better and better. Ian and Christine are the most thoughtful, kind and lovely hosts you will ever meet. Nothing is too much trouble and it’s really like staying with friends rather than staying at a B&B. Every tiny detail is perfect from the bed to the food to the hosts. You won’t find a better place to stay and I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Chris and Ian made us very welcome. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Chris makes wonderful jam and marmalade. The place is spotlessly clean. Biscuits and cake are provided when you arrive. There are also thoughtful extras included. I highly recommend.

This was our third visit to this excellent B and B in a lovely peaceful area on the outskirts of Dawlish. Ian and Christine are excellent hosts. We had the luxury room, very spacious with separate seating area and large en-suite shower and bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, served in a very relaxed style in a pleasant dining room. Nothing is too much trouble for these friendly hosts. We shall definitely return. Again!!

We stayed in the Cabin Suite for 6 days and we can't rave about it enough, it was like a 5*! Ian and Christine, the wonderful hosts, were there to greet us on arrival and were available and friendly throughout, nothing was too much trouble. It was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated with a gorgeous garden area. A variety of delicious homemade biscuits were replenished daily and the breakfast was fabulous, especially the homemade granola and musili. We loved it so much we've booked to return in October. Thank you so much Ian and Christine, see you soon!

Ian and Christine first class hosts, very friendly and easy to talk/chat with. We had the deluxe room and what a big spacious room. King bed, 2 seater sofa, 2 double built in wardrobes, drinks tray very well stocked with more than the standard 2 tea, 2 coffee etc plus homemade biscuit, plus home made cake, plus a few sweets, plus if you wanted a mini fridge downstairs with extra milk. Great views, peaceful and quiet. Bathroom with corner bath and separate shower. Breakfast excellent choice, cooked to perfection. A B&B where we would return and also one would recommend to any friend or family without hesitation.
