Detailed Reviews
We visted whislt walking the South West Coast Path, and arrived soaked to the skin after a day of non stop rain. From the moment we arrived Colin and Jonathon could not have been more welcoming despite our very soggy appearance. They stuffed our boots with newspaper put our wet clothes in the airing cupboard and took a tray of tea and biscuits to our room. They booked us a table for dinner at a local pub and booked a taxi to take us there. The house is delightful, lovingly restored and decorated to the highest standard with wonderful, thoughful and amusing touches. An honesty bar in the orginal conservatory also beautifully renovated was very relaxing. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, and Jonathan and Colin were friendly and fun, I only wish we could have stayed longer. i can't recommed it highly enough.

We are always full of admiration for our intrepid hikers enjoying the great South West Coast Path at all times and in all weathers. We were delighted to take care of you after your wet trek and it was no trouble to help dry your kit and book you a dinner table. Your kind sentiments are very much appreciated - and we hope your return visit will be in sunnier weather! Thank you, both.

We stayed only one night in this guest house. It was a very nice place to stay in north Devon.
The place is run by a Very hospitable family, which took care of all our needs, especially laundry service.
Rooms are specious and clean.
Great breakfast.

Channel Vista is an excellent place to stay, The room we stayed in was very nice, clean and well serviced with all the amenities you would expect in a larger hotel. There is a great choice of food for breakfast and the cooked options are superb. Colin and Jonathan are fantastic hosts with a wealth of local knowledge, nothing is too much trouble for them. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Stayed for one night during 2 day explore of North Devon. Beautiful furnished room (no 6), small but adequate bathroom, very comfortable in every respect. The breakfast Michelle dished up the following morning was excellent with a large choice of food. She was a superb host and we just loved the dogs. There is adequate parking at the rear up a very steep hill but access to the guest house is on the same level as the car park so no issues there. Can't recommend highly enough would definitely return if in the area for overnight, or more days.

Our welcoming host Michelle saw us into a lovely spotlessly clean homely perfectly located guest house. Breakfast was great all week with attentative staff and I would highly recommend the packed lunch on offer that saves a lot of queueing and expense. Can't fault it was brilliant

This was our 3rd visit,& again we can’t recommend this place highly enough! Colin & Jonathan excel in everything that they do.It beats going to a “high class hotel” From arrival to departure nothing is too much trouble! They have thought of everything that a traveller would need ( even a toothbrush & sewing kit should you need them).
We only hope that they are still there on our next visit !The 1st morning we skipped breakfast having stuffed ourselves the previous evening,& just before the end of service there was a knock on the door to ask if we would be going down .That wouldn’t happen in a hotel! Thank you once again for your fantastic hospitality,& hope to see you again soon.

We stayed at the Channel Vista Guest House for three nights with our 7-year-old daughter. Michelle welcomed us in a very friendly and helpful manner. She also immediately pointed out her two (very sweet!) dogs and asked if the dogs were a problem for us.
Our beautifully decorated room facing the street was large with a separate room for our daughter. However, our daughter's bunk bed swayed and squeaked so much that she could only sleep on the lower bed, which also squeaked a lot. The street itself is relatively busy, which you can definitely hear in the room. The rest of the house is a mixture of a bit dated and lovingly decorated. Breakfast was rather simple and a bit unimaginative, but at least served with a smile every morning.
Apart from the noisy street, the location of the Channel Vista is really great, as you can do everything in town on foot and you can go on excellent excursions from there.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay at the Channel Vista very much.

So we headed down to Combe Martin for a couple of days, somewhere we've not been before. We picked a place to stay at random, we may as well have thrown a dart at a map. We came up trumps though with this place. The owner hasn't been in the place for long but she's made it her own. It's quirky, it's clean, tidy and very comfortable. There is an 'honesty bar' which I think is inspired and is great when you utilize the outdoor terrace on a nice evening.
The owner, Michelle could not have been more friendly and helpful, helping us find somewhere to eat in the evening when everywhere was booked up.

We confirm all the other good reviews. Spacious clean room with all the facilities you need. Great shower and bathroom spotlessly clean. Everything worked as it should. Great tv in the room with full Freeview and perfect reception, very rare we have found. Terrific freshly cooked full English breakfast, friendly and helpful owner made us feel really at home. Look no further, you won't be dissapointed.

Michelle was incredibly accommodating for us - we arrived very late and she was very gracious in waiting up for us. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in - we were tempted to ask where it was from to buy it for our own home! Breakfast was delicious!
We were also lucky enough to meet Michelle’s two beautiful dogs before heading off onto the next stretch along the South West Coast Path.
