Combe Martin it’s self is a lovely area of North Devon, but please don’t stay at this holiday park. The only way to describe it is like homes under the hammer before it’s renovated. The chalets are disgusting, and need pulling down, they are old inside and out with black

Hello "Yumnymummy" There is no doubt that the Combe Martin Beach is a “Marmite” holiday park – people either love it or they hate it as you can read in these reviews – there appears to be very little middle ground. I am sorry that the park and the accommodation offered was not up to your expectations. While we would have preferred you to let us know while you were there rather than wait until you got home, nevertheless, I feel we should look into the circumstances of your holiday and see what we can do to help. To that end I will be contacting you through the Tripadvisor messaging service to discover the full details of your booking. Pat Guest Relations Manager

Second time we have come to this park and it still hasn’t disappointed. Stayed in the Manor House in a silver apartment and that view is just amazing. My sons have never been the type to join in with huge amounts of entertainment so coming to a park like this is perfect for our

Hello Claire Thank you for awarding our park 4 stars following your recent visit, we really appreciate it. We try our best to cater for everyone and your review shows that we are getting it right. Your praise will mean so much to the management and staff at the park. They all work extremely hard to make everyone’s stay enjoyable. Bingo! Ah yes, one of our eternal dilemmas. We're damned if we do and we are damned if we don't, plus we can't run it earlier because that's the kids time. There probably will never be a good time to run it, but it would cause upset if we didn't run it at all. We hope that you will come back to see us again very soon. Our returning customers are so important to us. Pat Guest Relations Manager

Hello Ben Thank you for your four stars. It is satisfying to hear that you had a great time on our park. We are happy that you found the staff to be friendly and we will pass your comments on to them. There is no doubt that the quality of any holiday park is mostly dependent on its personnel and we are very fortunate to have such a marvellous team. We are very fortunate with the location of our park in such an amazing part of this coast and all that it has to offer. We are delighted that you were able to share that experience. We look forward to welcoming you again very soon. Pat Guest Relations Manager

Just stayed for 4 nights in bronze accommodation which turned out to be in a chalet with a side view down to the sea. Another reviewer has described their accommodation as tired and I agree especially as there was no shower, the net curtains were tatty as was the bathroom blind.

Hello Mavis Thank you for taking the time to write such a fantastic review. I am thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your stay and how helpful and friendly the staff were. We certainly do not ignore any constructive criticism and perhaps there are some areas that will be improved this winter in the interest of future guests. We are aware of the situation and this is reflected in the prices we charge. I would like to think that you would come back to see us again after the improvements have been made - our returning customers are so important to us, they regularly make up 50% of our visitors. We stayed for three nights in a Bronze apartment. It may have been a little tired looking but it had the most fantastic view of the sea and the rocky beaches. The Manor House is beautiful, read about it’s history in the foyer. Staff very nice. Just a short walk into the

Hello Lesley Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience at our holiday park. The apartments have been the victim of their own success this year and, as you say, are becoming a little tired. Naturally, this will be dealt with during the closed season. I am delighted to hear that you had a great time and enjoyed the Manor House with its spectacular views We do value all feedback from our guests, and I would like to thank you for posting your review. It is from customer feedback that we are able to make improvements for the future. Pat Guest Relations Manager

Hello Nicola Whoops. I honestly thought that those beds were fixed, but then what do I know? I have removed my humorous and rhetorical question from the public response and replaced it with an apology. Sorry, I will check with the housekeeper in future before making any silly comments. Pat

Hello Carl and Viv Our platinum caravans are all pet free and on the 24th September all the facilities will be open except the pool. If you would like a swim then you can use the pool on the sister park just up the road. Since your question is anonymous it would be impossible for me to see which of the dozen or so platinum's you will be getting. They are dotted all over the park, which used to be the grounds of the old manor house and as such the views would be predominantly green. For me that would be really good, but we are all different. Hello "Supa JBC" The answer given by Melaine J is absolutely spot on and I can add to it. The beach immediately across the road from the park - Newberry Beach - actually belongs to us and is therefore pet friendly. There are two beaches at Combe Martin and the lovely Sam on reception will help you to get the right one. Pat Guest Relations Manager

Hello Jen You will be delighted to hear that the pool is open now. The silver caravans are dotted all over the park, they are not all together in a group. I am wondering why you ask the question, because if you have a specific reason, ensure that you tell the booking office when you book. Pat Guest Relations Manager
