Brilliant back to basics campsite. Very good for families and groups of friends. Beautiful surrounding landscape with some lovely walks nearby. Facilities are great and the site is generally very well managed.

Camped 4 nights in the 4th field so we could have a fire each night. Is a bit of a walk to the hot water block for showers etc but was no issue. Shop has most of what you need for basics and also wood for sale too. Pitch up next to the river so the kids can mess about in there by day and once it’s dark - if a clear night, go sit on a chair in the middle of the field and star gaze. It’s so dark that you’ll sit there either watching out for a shooting star or seeing the numerous satellites pass overhead. Great base for exploring the local area and if you’re looking for an animal friendly, clean, and natural site then look no further.

We hired Ling Cottage as a group of three friends. The farm is brilliant and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Lots to do in the local area and good walks on the farm too. The house is comfortable and well-equipped.

This is such a beautiful campsite. The facilities were in full working order and very clean - even on a busy bank holiday weekend. We camped alongside the river and had a truly magical stay, our children loved it. Shaun in the office was extremely welcoming and very helpful particularly when we had a slight vehicle issue on the last day! Can't wait to visit again. Thank you.

I discovered Westermill 20 years ago with my girlfriend, now 20 years with two sons and we head down there as soon as the sun is shining and we've got some time off. It is a very special place. Situated in a beautiful exmoor valley, 4 meadow fields to camp in, one with fire pits, a river running through, great facilities, warm showers, family shower rooms, drying rooms, wifi near the farm house and shop selling basic supplies open twice a day. We have camped there in tents and also rented the lodges, the local village Exford is beautiful with some great pubs and food, and you're only half an hour away from great days out in Minehead, Dunster, BlueBay, Porlock. The place is working farm, and you're made to feel very welcome. The atmosphere is great, lots of families, all content to let the kids just run around and do what kids do. A very special place you'll fall in love with.
