If you appreciate excellent wine then the Simonsbath Wine Tasting Evening is for you. Mr. Andrew Flagg the proprietor of this old Hunting Lodge is extremely knowledgeable in the craft of wine making and the most appropriate wines to accompany and enhance the flavour of food. For this particular evening, whilst relaxing in front of a cosy log fire we...

Simonsbath House is in a beautiful location with stunning views. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. The food is absolutely delicious and the set menu meals are good value for money. I agree with other reviews that the Austrian muesli is absolutely gorgeous with so many other selections of fruit and cereals. There is not much of an...

This was our second visit to the Simonsbath House Hotel self catering cottages. We stayed in the weavers croft. Me and my wife and our little schnauzer Frankie stayed for three nights as this hotel is the perfect place to discover Exmoor. We have visited Exmoor many times as it's our second home and our visit was first class once...

Cosy, welcoming atmosphere. The service was so friendly and professional. Clearly there was an ethos of making guests feel very much at home and nothing was too much trouble. Our dogs were welcomed too. We loved the traditional furniture of the lounge and the bar - and the blazing fires just made it perfect. Wonderful comfortable bed. A true combination...

We had a really warm welcome from the Andrew the owner and His staff . Our room was at the front with a beautiful view. The room was a good size with a lovely four poster bed which was really comfortable. They are totally dog friendly. The lounge is a comfortable warm room and the little bar is cosy. That...

We are so glad that you both enjoyed your stay and the dog enjoyed the open fires. Dogs ( and owners) are always welcome, as we have some great walks right on our door step.

Our walking group spent a weekend here and we were very impressed with the facilities. Comfortable bed rooms, extremely cosy lounge and bar areas plus excellent food and service. We had a warm welcome from Andrew and the whole team. There was great consideration of walkers needs, in providing drying facilities for wet clothes and boots. The location was superb,...

Recently we revisited Simonsbath House after a gap of nearly thirty five years and fell in love with it all over again! The food was superb and Andrew and his staff could not have done more to make our visit truly memorable. The setting is legendary and brings a new meaning to the title 'a room with a view'. Superb!

We stayed at Simonsbath House with our walking group. Andrew and his fantastic staff really looked after us. Their help and advice and service was unobtrusive. They clearly know how to look after groups but still treat their guests as individuals - how did they know our names so quickly. The breakfasts were good with plenty of choice. We ate...

Last minute decision to stay on Exmoor and was lucky enough to find this hotel. Beautiful setting with lovely walks on the doorstep. Nice to not get in the car to go for a walk. Our bedroom was great, bathroom slightly small and noisy fan which is going to be sorted out. Breakfast was very good. We didn't have dinner...
