Delightful setting with a lovely view of the Exe estuary. Lots of room between tables, super clean loos, and delicious and reasonably priced food. My husband enjoyed his pasty and I was most impressed by the Fresh scone with Jam and clotted cream.

Tea came in paper cups, but this seems to be standard practice at present.

Very glad we decided to drop in when we spotted it from the Exe Estuary footpath

We had an amazing week camping. It was rough, rustic and wild but included our own lovely ‘Covid’ personal shower and toilet facilities. The shower was clean, powerful and hot. The field had no electric hook ups which made it even better. There was a socket or two for phone/gadget charging which was all we needed. The place was so peaceful, relaxing and after a stressful year it was the perfect antidote. You could walk up the field to get an amazing view over Exmouth and the estuary. The sunsets were great to watch. We even managed to see the badgers at night on our hike to the loo! Thank you Andrew and Kate.
I highly recommend it if you like traditional camping but a great shower!

We booked to stay 4 nights here with family in the apartmentthat is within the main farmhouse but is self co tained for privacy. It was easy to find and the instructions for arrival were easy to follow with ample parking available.
We were met by the owners who showed us around.
The place itself is very clean, tidy and well equiped with everything you need to stay. The decor is very farmhouse traditional, with underfloor heating that is controlled individually in each room. This kept the place nice and warm but there is a Woodburn and wood provided for the colder evenings.
You also have a little spave out the front with a picnic table to sit at, but there is extra garden furniture in the shed if you need it.
There are working dogs on the farm who will alert you if there is anybody hanging around that shouldn't be, this is an excellent security system!
We had a wonderful few days here, we would book here again.
For those of you that have furry friends, dogs are welcome and it's a great base for walking the river Exe.

If you're on a walk from Exmouth to Lympstone, or vice versa, and want to rest awhile and be spoilt by real hospitality then go no further than Lower Halsdon Farm Tea Gardens. We stopped there with friends and indulged in the best cream tea I've ever had. Scrumptious scones, oodles of strawberry jam and giant dollops of Devon clotted cream. The owner/proprietor greeted us like old friends and nothing was too much trouble; this was a 5-star Cream Tea and I'd be very surprised if the B&B and self-catering accommodation wasn't of the same high standard.

We came across this excellent little cafe by chance, as we rode by on the cycle path. We had a delicious cream tea in a beautiful setting, would thoroughly recommend it and will definitely return soon.

We spent 3 nights at this traditional farmhouse B&B. It is situated in a prime location on the edge of Exmouth city centre with views over the river Exe estuary stretching out before you (which you can enjoy while eating a scrummy 2-course breakfast) and rolling farmland in all directions. Next to the footpath/cycle route you can easily walk into Lympstone for dinner (or go for an early morning run!), just as easily as walking into Exmouth. Kate is friendly and helpful but doesn't encroach on your personal space. She dishes up truly delicious breakfasts and helps with local recommendations too. There are loads of things to do within easy walking distance and no steep hills!

There are so many lovely things about the B&B, not only the location and Kate and Andrew, I'm sure to forget some but to name a few:
- spacious bedroom, clean and bright with a really comfy bed & pillows
- an equally nice bathroom and shower en suite
- good quality linen
- TV and clock radio
- Kettle, tea, coffee, cafetiere, fresh milk in the room
- shortbread biscuits topped up in the room each day
- free bottled water
- and although we don't have a dog it is dog friendly.

We had a super time and would absolutely come back!

The National Trust owned farmhouse has just one double bed and breakfast room. Very pretty room with a lovely bathroom. Lots of nice touches to make a very comfortable stay. The B & B is in a really beautiful location right by the estuary with some fabulous walks right from the door. You eat your breakfast in the kitchen with a beautiful view overlooking the estuary, I didn't use my car once as there are so many brilliant places to walk to or using public transport, bus or train. Short walk along by the water into the town brings you to the train station, shops, restaurants and a 2 mile long beach and cliff top walks along the coast. Walking in the other direction from the farm takes you along the footpath/cycle path towards Exeter through lovely little villages like Lympstone to Topsham. I had a very nice relaxing short break and would certainly recommend it.

Absolutely delightful place to stay, lovely location overlooking the estuary, very relaxing & peaceful. The room was very spacious and well furnished, lovely little extra touches - cafetiere coffee, fridge to keep milk cold, even dog biscuits for our dog. You can enjoy an excellent breakfast looking out of the estuary. Kate and Andrew were very friendly and welcoming, very dog friendly, we really enjoyed our weekend stay. Will definitely book again.

Really lovely stay with our corgi dog Splott. Dog made to feel right at home; part of the family; had a breakfast sausage each day in the farm kitchen with us each morning. Good walking nearby including on the farm itself. Lovely views over the River Exe. Lovely room. Lympstone Village in walking distance with lovely eateries. Going back.
