Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Peace and tranquillity are what I took away from my stay at Quentance Farm. I love the calm atmosphere there. It’s well located for keen walkers, and near Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton for beaches. I would happily stay again. The nearby cycle track is very convenient for cyclists and walkers alike. The two resident Jack Russells are hilarious.

Our family took 5 rooms for 1 night and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality that Quentance Farm offers. Rose and Palle are most welcoming, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. With the added bonus of a visit to the horses, dogs and chickens (our granddaughter loved collecting the eggs), we will most definitely be returning.

It was a great night that we spend Quentance Farm. The place is very quiet and authentic. Palle and Rose were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was beautiful served and tasty! In the morning we were looking at the horses and it was beautiful. The beach is 15 min ride and its very nice! Thank you very much! Anna, Ksenia, Vadim and kids.

The best night's sleep for a long time. Quentance Farm is easy to find, although the satnav may try to deposit you at the McDonalds on the hill. If you are approaching on the B road between Budleigh Salterton and Exeter you need to watch for the sign on the left before the brow of the hill. It is equidistant between Budleigh Salterton, with its walk along the estuary (good for birdwatchers) and its beach with cliffs (wonderful at sunset) and Exmouth, with a good range of places to eat. And an excellent breakfast.

My husband and I stayed for one night b & b and couldn't fault the place. The bedroom was warm, comfy and the powerful shower a delight! The breakfast was super too. The location to the disused railway line was perfect as we didn't need to negotiate any roads. This is good for either walkers or cylists, and the big local Common meant you weren't limited by a small space to explore. In fact it's part of the national cycleway network .... . The hosts were welcoming and knowledgable. Would certainly recommnend and intend to return.

This is a comfortable B&B hideaway on the Devon coast with friendly hosts. The rooms are small-ish but adequately furnished, the linen and towels are fresh. The en-suites are small but adequate while some bedrooms share a good, spacious bathroom with shower and deep bath. The hosts get the mix right - they leave you to get on with it but are available and helpful if you need advice or directions. Breakfast is big and hearty with good, fresh, local ingredients. Dogs seem not only welcome but positively pampered. We enjoyed two nights here as a family in two rooms and would recommend it. In UK terms, we thought the value for money was good. If we had any complaint it was that the rooms were perhaps just a mite dusty which caused our daughter a bit of an allergic reaction.

We had a double room on the ground floor which has a good view across the fields and a very comfortable bed. There were downsides..... the free wifi was not working (due to BT so not the fault of the property), the window had blocks to prevent opening the bottom sash- which made for a hot and stuffy night, the shower required a safecracker's skills to dial the right temperature- I failed. So why a 4? The owners were charming and helpful, the breakfast was good, the view pleasant and the mattress excellent!

Lovely old farmhouse in scenic, pastoral setting. Palle and Rose (along with their friends) excellent hosts -- friendly, helpful and enjoyable to chat with. Felt warmly welcomed. Clean and in good repair. Wifi on the fritz during stay. Highly recommend.

Palle and Rose proved to be the perfect hosts. Setting is just about perfect as well. We stayed in a double en suite for three nights which was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast could not be faulted with as much as you wanted including home made bread. Dogs, a cat and horses at every turn. Would we come again? most definitely.
