Enjoyable stay at Haven Devon Cliffs. Went during Easter holidays so inevitably was busy. Highlights: the swimming pool is fantastic, park feels safe, loads of activities (book early) and evening entertainment is great. Downsides: avoid mash and barrell. Food was so cold. Seen this in a few reviews. Unless you queue before it opens at 5pm you won't get a table in evenjng entertainment venue. Park is massive, expect long walks and big hills. (Can be a positive if into that) Ticket prize shop was so busy. Waited an hour to cash in for prizes. We will probably use Haven again but probably a smaller site.

caravan: we stopped in the bronze ones, biggest disappointment was no WiFi for the kids, come on haven sort that out with some extenders, only available in main building, needed much biggest stepping stones to access as well to avoid mud, they were so small, parking isn’t great either, apart from that caravan was fine for 4 nights swimming pool was spot on, kids loved that. we couldn’t get into main entertainment apart from bingo, it was far too busy especially in half term week, need another venue for size of park really enjoyed food at mash and barrel, really quick service and have some decent offers, not enough table space outside bk and chippy so best off taking back to caravan activities are good, some new additions to haven, nerf shooting, tubes, would like to see price reduced on tube slide, £8 for 3 goes is a bit much shop was pretty good as well to be fair, good choice All in all a really good break and a good haven park to visit and we have done a few now

Amazing for kids, swimming, sports court and all of the extra activities you can book online for them. The caravan was clean and tidy, we have been here a few times now and each time it gets busier and busier, Mash and Barrell is the only non-fast food option if you are lucky enough to get a seat, or not have over an hour wait for food. Otherwise, it's Burger King and Papa John's, which again if you order to eat, there is nowhere to sit with it. It seems they booked too many people in for the size of the facilities, there were queues for everything and waits for all foods and drinks, we have never been able to get a seat in either of the entertainment venues either, very crowded and busy. Would go again, slightly out of season maybe, will be trying another park next though.

I booked a gold standard caravan for my family over Easter holidays. Cost quite a lot but as it was for seven days, thought we’d have a bit of luxury. The accommodation was ready on time but it was not up to standard. Floors were dirty, cutlery needed washing before we could use it. Hardly any kitchen utensils and no baking trays for oven. There were holes in the duvet covers and two had blood spots on them. Went to reception to ask them to put this right. Said they would sort it out but didn’t. Everything else’s about the site was lovely. A bit muddy but that’s the weather for you. Disappointed that our caravan wasn’t up to luxury standard. Wasn’t worth the extra money. We’ve stayed in cleaner saver/bronze vans.

We’ve just returned from 7 days at Devon cliffs with myself, partner and 6yr old and 2yr old. First of all if you enjoy smaller parks with less chaos then this isn’t the place for you! A lot of reviews on here are slaying the place for being busy but it’s one of the larger parks so you need to prepare for it! (during the school holidays anyway!) We embraced the chaos and the kids absolute loved having so many things to do! We stayed in a bronze caravan in Apple Grove - the caravan itself was very clean and a great layout with lots of space and 3 bedrooms! We had great views of the sea from the living room window. We heard the occasional dog barking and people/ kids chatting and shouting but you expect that in a holiday park. The facilities were great and very clean, swimming pool is very loud and bright when the sun is out (clear roof) the pool is very busy but as some other reviews said you don’t have to wait in queues for very long for the slides and you don’t feel like sardines (it’s a big pool) my two kids loved it! The temperature of the pool was 27 degrees and once in, it was pleasant to swim in. Staff were constantly sweeping up excess water in the changing rooms to try and keep things tidy and lifeguards were at several point around the pool which was great to see. The arcade is split between 2 levels and although it can get quite busy it was still usable and we had great fun in there. I advise booking things through the haven app as soon as it opens for your holiday dates (if going in school holidays) but we were able to swim everyday and book lots of other activities whilst there with no issues. We accidentally missed one of our planned activities by completely forgetting and the staff managed to cancel the booking a reschedule for later that day, I prepared to pay twice as it was my fault but they refunded us for the missed session which was amazing! We sampled all the food outlets on site (oops!) and found them all to be great! The shop onsite is huge, really well stocked and a reasonable price which was really handy! The biggest issues of our holiday was - 1. Internet signal - it is not existent in the caravans! So I recommend downloading programmes before you come if like my kids, they like to watch iPads before bed! Although you can get wifi in the main complex which was a god send. 2. The evening entertainment venue, sadly the place just isn’t big enough to accommodate everyone and if you arrive after 5pm you’ll be standing until a table becomes available (which could be hours!) but I guess the only way this could be resolved is to build a bigger venue which would be difficult! But the entertainment itself was great and my daughters loved it! The energy the staff bring is phenomenal! Also, the mud around the caravans is quite annoying, the pathway didn’t quite connect to the road so I had to lift the pram over it to avoid getting mud in the caravan - along apple grove we had an access road but sadly no car parking space as it was just mud (a car had previously parked in there and churned all the mud up so we didn’t want to risk parking on it- see photo) and the carpark was a bit of a walk away. It would make more sense to turn them all into little driveways as the churned mud looks really tatty! Overall I would definitely return again as the park itself and staff are great! Would maybe try and sneak away during term time next to avoid the mass of people but even during the holidays the park seemed prepared for it and we never felt it was too chaotic.

FANTASTIC… Went over Easter half term. So much to do!! 😁 It was busy but still managed to enjoy everything on offer. Activity team all so polite and wonderful with the children. Did 6 activities on offer. Weather was bad on some days , easy to reschedule. Shows were amazing, again all staff were brilliant! Plenty of food options. Haven shop stocks all you need. Not expensive at all. Swimming was great lots of slides and zero time really queuing. Great haven park! We will be back ! THANK YOU …

If you are a person who enjoys Butlins then this is the place for you. Not that we’ve ever been but it sounds like our idea of living hell. Devon Cliffs is extremely tacky, expensive, people were spitting and swearing. One couple was rowing all night so loud outside their caravan. It just suits that place. we are not posh by any means just the average family with two young children, but the caravans are shabby, the entertainment is mayhem, the only good thing about it was the view and the security were excellent. If you want to enjoy a beautiful caravan park with decent people, go to Ladram Bay. You cannot fault it.

Great location but it ends there with the positives really. We have used Haven for family holidays for the last 8 years. Always loved it with no problems. This particular site we have never stayed at before. On arrival none of the hire items such as bed guard or towel pack were in the caravan. After speaking with reception it did turn up but after the kids were in bed so we unfortunately ended up waking them up to fit the bed guard and obviously were unable to shower that day due to no towels. Badly maintained caravan, oven seal was broken so unable to use, we did try but the food wouldn't cook so we had to bin it and eat out. No frying pan so unable to cook another night costing more money to eat out. No kitchen scissors, pizza slicer, knifes and various other kitchen items missing. The sofas were damaged and at an angle is the easiest way to describe it so you kept slipping towards the front of them, I'm guessing they are just extremely warn. Entertainment venues completely packed out, like nothing I've seen at a Haven before, we were unable to get seats all 3 nights we were there. Security don't check passes on entering any venues at all so why bother paying for them or having security. Food at the restaurants were ok but cold. The grounds were extremely muddy, I realise Haven have no control over the British weather but there was no path to our caravan. We all wore wellies but it was like a bog. The kids fell multiple times while going to and from the caravan with us and obviously the caravan got quite muddy even with removing shoes on the door Matt. Anyone frail would be completely unable to access the caravans on the grass areas which is almost the entire park. The caravan wasn't cleaned to the normal Haven standard either, it was very dusty, kitchen sink still had food residue it in. Pubic hair in the shower and floors were grubby with bits of dry mud from the bog outside. It's safe to say we wouldn't return to this Haven and has made us think twice about going to any Haven in the future.

I would have been in the market to buy a caravan but the experience but us off The park is not adequately security controlled as passes to facilities were never checked. There were simply too many people in the bars or restaurants to get a table. The amusements were poorly supervised and overrun with unsupervised children and barking dogs Our caravan was simply falling apart. We joked about what would break next! The tv was secured to the wall with a spoon! The car park was impossible to park on which would have given us better access and to avoid hill walks with a push chair to get to the facilities. We didn’t get the impression that asking for help would get us anywhere to be fair. The pool was great for the kids and well supervised but lacked sufficient spectator seating. Not the greatest of holidays and very over priced. One wonders if you have to pay for a premium caravan to get luxury. Ours was a silver caravan but somewhat tarnished!
