This place seems to have two Trip Advisor accounts (??) so I've left the same review on the other account too: My wife and I rented a small cottage in Slapton, last weekend and the Tower Inn was recommended in the comments of the guest book, well we can see why it was. It is a charming old pub with... More

A large party of us visited the Tower Inn on Saturday - including 5 rather manic children. The staff were fantastic and really went out of their way to accommodate the child's food requirements. The manager was fantastic and although the restaurant was very busy she kept checking we had all we needed. The food was out of this world... More

Have been to this establishment on many occasions ,always Great...... Until you complain!!! The staff and management have not the skills required to run a business, rather than listen to our complaints 'Cold Veggie Burger' Penne instead of Macoroni, they resorted to saying 'did you not like it then' then after accusing us of being tipsy , ran away and... A wonderful foodie pub. The chefs take on fish and chips is to die for. Charming service and warm welcoming atmosphere. All complimented with a well chosen wine list. Do not come her for pie and chips or 5 minute microwaved food!

Wow this pub was amazing. Really old, cosy and very welcoming. Not very easy to park as very tight entrance but not a problem as we parked just down the road in the village. We stayed for two nights in the dog friendly room. Very clean and cosy and very comfy bed. We eat both our evening meals here as... More

Not sure why Tripadvisor has this pub located in Kingsbridge, about 5 miles away, when it's definitely in Slapton. We were staying on the campsite just up the hill and asked for recommendations. Tower Inn was mentioned as being a 'gastro-pub'. Not sure if that was meant to put us off but, thank goodness, it didn't. We went there for... More

The Tower is in Slapton village about 6 miles from Kingsbridge. It's a pretty spot but a nightmare to park in. The entrance to the Tower's car park is narrow and, when you get to it there is only parking for 4-5 cars so you might struggle to turn round and backing down the access will be a challenge, so... Called here for lunch whilst visiting our son and daughter who are holidaying in Devon. My wife and myself chose the "Simple sandwich" consisting of delightful Cheddar cheese, apple chutney on crusty granary bread with a side of lovely crispy fries in a plant pot! The kids had a minute steak on an Italian style ciabatta with rocket and again said... More

Stayed for a long Weekend. Staff were very friendly. Very good food / Great service - a bit pricey though but it is quality dining. The location is lovely & very peaceful. The only downside, although not majorly, was that the bathroom was a bit tatty in places & the shower was a little on the weak side. Would definitely... More

This is a bit special! Hidden in the lovely village of Slapton, we suggest getting there by foot or push-bike - the approach to the small frontage of the Inn is very very tight! But a very warm welcome awaits. Our 3-day stay was in a very comfortable room with a great bed and a charming view on to a... More
