We arrived early and Rosemary greeted us, what a wonderful lady, very welcoming.
As it was before 10.30am we just wanted to leave out suitcase and head off to see family, this was no problem and it was even taken upstairs to our room.....i don't travel light so the suitcase was very heavy and we didn't expect them to do this.
We arrived back about 9.30pm and the room was fantastic, huge, loads of space and the bath...wow...shall we say although we were only there for 2 nights it was well used. The pillows OMG where the best pillows in the world...we have even ordered some online, you just sunk into them and then moulded them around you...heaven, needless to say we slept like a log, it was so dark and quite ..heaven in a bedroom. there was plenty of tea, water and coffee and the best dressing gowns ever in a Bed and Breakfast, even a little bottle of white wine...perfect, there is a drinks fridge on the landing if you want to take a bottle of wine yourself or even if you need to take food with you, there was even fresh milk in there very accommodating.
The breakfast was outstanding, fresh yogurt with local honey, fresh fruit salad and fresh orange juice { hubby drank both glasses } and then a beautiful presented and cooked Full English.....my husband would of very easily moved in.
Everything was perfect and we have booked to stay for New Year which has made it even more exciting. xx
Such a lovely building and grounds to relax in a beautiful setting. We will return again! Very highly recommended.
Honestly you would be hard pressed to find a better hotel, let alone B&B - it's lovely and Rosemary is a fantastic host. It made our weekend perfect.
We were disappointed however that we were sharing a bathroom with two other couples and a baby. As the bathroom was right next to our bedroom we obviously heard all the coming and going too.
Breakfast was well cooked but there were none of the extras often provided in farmhouse B&B
