We spent 2 nights here and it was wonderful and Soxy the dog loved it, i wish we had found it sooner, yes the road is little and thin but this starts the exciting journey to this charming place.
We arrived early and Rosemary greeted us, what a wonderful lady, very welcoming.
As it was before 10.30am we just wanted to leave out suitcase and head off to see family, this was no problem and it was even taken upstairs to our room.....i don't travel light so the suitcase was very heavy and we didn't expect them to do this.
We arrived back about 9.30pm and the room was fantastic, huge, loads of space and the bath...wow...shall we say although we were only there for 2 nights it was well used. The pillows OMG where the best pillows in the world...we have even ordered some online, you just sunk into them and then moulded them around you...heaven, needless to say we slept like a log, it was so dark and quite ..heaven in a bedroom. there was plenty of tea, water and coffee and the best dressing gowns ever in a Bed and Breakfast, even a little bottle of white wine...perfect, there is a drinks fridge on the landing if you want to take a bottle of wine yourself or even if you need to take food with you, there was even fresh milk in there very accommodating.
The breakfast was outstanding, fresh yogurt with local honey, fresh fruit salad and fresh orange juice { hubby drank both glasses } and then a beautiful presented and cooked Full English.....my husband would of very easily moved in.
Everything was perfect and we have booked to stay for New Year which has made it even more exciting. xx

We enjoyed two nights at this superb B&B...it was like being at home from home with a really warm welcome from a gracious and charming hostess who served a superb breakfast. The rooms are very well appointed, comfortable and very clean. I would recommend to anyone staying in the area that they consider this really charming B&B. We will definitely be making a return visit.

I am new to the B&B experience and after having visited Auton Court, all future B&B places have a lot to live up to.

Honestly you would be hard pressed to find a better hotel, let alone B&B - it's lovely and Rosemary is a fantastic host. It made our weekend perfect.

Rosemary is an excellent hostess and provided us with superb accomodation and breakfast. There were many little extra touches that made our stay all the more enjoyable. Rosemary has good knowledge of the area and was able to advise us on good places to visit during our vacation. Nothing was too much trouble. The B & B is situated in a very peaceful pretty area of Devon. We will definitely be revisiting Rosemary's B & B in the future. Gill and Ian, Woking Surrey.

We came down for a friend's wedding but thought we would make the most of visiting Devon (the first time for me) and wanted to stay somewhere that was central, comfortable and a little bit special. Auton Court met all that criteria (and more) and Rosemary made us very welcome from the moment we arrived with homemade ginger cake. The rooms were comfortable and pleasantly decorated with little touches; fresh flowers, tea tray, dressing gown and selection of toiletries. There was fresh fruit, yoghurts, extensive range of cereals and cooked breakfast in the morning and Rosemary was able to recommend local options for dinner. We tried the Sloop Inn and the Cricket Inn and both were excellent. Would highly recommend Auton Court and would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in the lovely master bedroom. Rosemary is a fantastic host, as a local she has some great tips for walks and places to eat and very helpful. The house is decorated and finished to a very high standard, it's clearly well looked after and very comfortable. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. We had a great nights sleep each night as it's so remote & peaceful yet minutes from all amenities in Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Would deffinetly recommend.

Auton Court is a lovely barn conversion in a tranquil spot in the Devon countryside. The room was tastefully decorated and comfortable.

We were disappointed however that we were sharing a bathroom with two other couples and a baby. As the bathroom was right next to our bedroom we obviously heard all the coming and going too.

Breakfast was well cooked but there were none of the extras often provided in farmhouse B&B

The most relaxing, serene and gorgeous stay - Rosemary attends to every detail from massive tasy breakfasts and local honey, deliciously comfortable beds, plump luxurious classic english throw pillows and decor, countryside elegance in a converted farmhouse/barn. Very peaceful and quiet. Perfect escape from the city. I continue to come here every year- usually 4-5 x a year. Breakfast and relaxing ambiance cannot be beat!
