Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a lovely place to stay. Breakfast never disappoints fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, cereals, full English etc. Pretty bedrooms with very comfy beds. Rosemary is super helpful and very welcoming always able to advise on good eateries, pubs, places of interest and a road map with best routes inside her head!

We stayed for 3 nights whilst attending a fitness competition at Banthan Beach and we could not fault the place. Rosemary was so accommodating and nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, beds super comfy and our room was beautiful and very well equipt. You have use of a lovely cosy living room with log fire and beautiful garden surrounded by fields, it is truly beautiful and we will look to return again.

Rosemary was very accommodating, the place was beautiful, and the finishing touches really gave the place a homely feel. Breakfast was great; with a good variety, and we felt very welcome. Was also very peaceful, Would definitely recommend.

Booked not knowing what to expect - it was wonderful. The beds are comfy, the breakfast is freshly cooked and the setting idyllic. Very welcoming host with 2 lovely dogs. I plan to visit again with friends and family. Just be prepared for driving down narrow Devon lanes to get there.

The most relaxing, serene and gorgeous stay - Rosemary attends to every detail from massive tasy breakfasts and local honey, deliciously comfortable beds, plump luxurious classic english throw pillows and decor, countryside elegance in a converted farmhouse/barn. Very peaceful and quiet. Perfect escape from the city. I continue to come here every year- usually 4-5 x a year. Breakfast and relaxing ambiance cannot be beat!

You have to experience this! A beautifully comfortable bed - all your needs thought of and prepared for in advance. A breakfast that was beyond delightful - leave room for the croissants heated in the Arga...l We had such a restful time here and felt so at home. Thank you!

My husband and I have just returned from yet another wonderful stay at Auton Court. We cannot speak highly enough of the quality and standard of bed and breakfast. We have stayed in all the bedrooms and they are all superb in every way - cleanliness, comfort, furnishings and lovely fresh flowers. If you like the countryside and peace and quiet then Auton Court fits the bill to perfection. In addition, Rosemary is so very welcoming and you can be assured of a warm and relaxed stay. Rosemary's hearty breakfasts will not disappoint with everything cooked to perfection. This is a perfect location for exploring the beautiful South Hams area. Thank you Rosemary - what would we do without you!
