On a plus note this b&b has many good points. We stayed in the Anastasia room for 2 nights and the bed is lovely and comfy, the shower is good and the tea and coffee making facilities come with lovely homemade flapjack. On arrival Stephen seemed very lovely and even lent me an umbrella! (On a very rainy night). The... More

Stephen and Mary were excellent hosts and delightful company, and I really enjoyed my stay with them in Kingsbridge! Breakfast was delicious and filling - it was a treat to have the fruit salad as well as the full cooked breakfast (as well as cereal and yoghurt if you can manage)! I stayed in Anastasia's ensuite room, which was attractively... More

Unusual house with some interesting artwork, well decorated bedroom, lovely breakfast. Slight drawback was that I had the room with the bathroom just down a few stairs but made up for by the very modern bathroom and the overall helpful attitude of the owners. I would stay again.

Needing a bed for the night on a whistlestop tour of Devon for work, I chose this B&B specifically because it was a short walk from the town centre where I had a meeting the next morning. What a treat! The house is delightful - full of the most gorgeous artwork and you could never say the decor is bland.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. We were travelling with mum and dad as we were in Devon for a family party, we booked both rooms. Both rooms were very comfortable, one is en-suite, the other has a private bathroom which is down a couple of stairs, this worked fine for us but may not suit everyone. Stephen and Mary... More

Having been let down by a hotel in Hope Cove, I was so glad to find Higher Barnfield had space for us to stay for a weekend, and even more pleased when we arrived, met the proprietors, Stephen and Mary, and saw the house and bedroom. They are lovely people, and the house is splendid. This B&B is probably not... More

We visited Kingsbridge for a weekend break. Mary and Stephen made us most welcome and it was an enjoyable stay. Breakfast was lovely starting with fruit and then Stephen's cooking which again was excellent. Will stay there when we visit next year.

Stayed at Barnfield B & B for one night during a cycling holiday. It was a lovely place to stay with a very comfortable room, welcoming hosts and delicious breakfast.
