Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow!! We stayed in Keynedon Mill for two nights in July and I can honestly say this was amongst the best experiences in a hostelry I have ever experienced. Jeni and Stewart were both so genuinely warm and welcoming - from the tea and scones on arrival, to getting us a booking in the Indian restaurant in Kingsbridge for the member of our party who craved a curry, to just chatting about life and the universe - nothing was too much trouble. We had chosen the rooms on the main floor that share a bathroom. These are beautiful and Jeni had thought of everything to make this a comfortable experience. Every little detail has been thought of and provided- super comfy beds, robes in the rooms, extra towels, gorgeous arrangement of garden flowers, a flask of fresh milk popped in your room for your tea or coffee and my personal favourite - a little cut glass decanter of port and two pretty vintage glasses for a little bedtime tipple. The breakfast deserves a review all of its own! Jeni and Stewart are clearly both wonderful cooks and I just wished we had another three mornings to try all the offerings in the menu- everything we tasted was just perfect and again, every detail thought of. Thank you both so much for a wonderful stay, and I will make up a reason to be back down in Kingsbridge again just to stay at Keynedon Mill. Lisa Kent

Staying at Keynedon Mill is like staying at your own private retreat, with it’s lovely rural location and wonderful old stone cottage. Both Stuart and Jeni have created a really luxurious accomodation that makes the best of this quaint old property. They are also very welcoming, and you really feel that you are being treated to a special stay here. Our room was beautifully furnished with a wonderfully comfortable bed, and well appointed en suite bathroom. Breakfasts here are a real highlight, with lovely fresh fruit and cereals, and of course some really tempting hot menu options. The local pub, The Globe is a great option for typical pub food, and there are other choices a short drive away. On our stay we dined at the Cricket Inn at Beesands as recommended by Stuart. It has a fantastic waterfront location, and as you would expect really tasty local seafood. There are some great walks nearby, particularly around Hallsands, and in this part of Devon you can certainly escape the crowds. If staying in a guesthouse in a gorgeous location, where you are treated by the hosts as very special guests, I can think of no better place to stay in this very picturesque part of the coast.

We spent 6 nights recently at Keynedon Mill and it couldn't have been better. It's in a quiet location, in lovely grounds and beautifully decorated. We received a warm welcome from Jeni and Stuart and they were unfailingly helpful in advising us on good places to eat. They have an excellent eye for detail and there was even a decanter of port in our room. The breakfasts were a joy, with a very wide choice and of a high quality. Our room was lovely and we wanted for nothing as Jeni and Stuart had thought of everything.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights at this lovely B&B. Jenny and Stuart made us feel really welcome and the breakfasts were delicious, with lots of choice. It is in a beautiful setting with lovely grounds and we were treated to a cream tea in the garden on arrival. The location is also very convenient for exploring the area as it’s close to Kingsbridge and the lovely South Hams beaches. We would love to come back!

What a peaceful and friendly place this is. Stuart and Jenni are such helpful, lovely people who over the week we were there helped in so many ways, from keeping our plants which we bought at National Trust places watered to giving the best directions to places of interest. The breakfasts were superb and the rooms delightful. We would highly recommend Keynedon Mill

We have just returned from this fabulous b and b in the beautiful South Devon countryside. Our hosts Stuart and Jeni were absolutely charming and so helpful with everything and added special touches. Superb breakfast in delightful dining room. On arrival we were given a delish cream tea in the lovely gardens. Rooms were beautifully and artistically decorated and spotlessly clean with flowers, candles and port decanter to boot!! A lovely Devon break - and we definitely intend to return.

Booked this excellent B&B for 3 nights in June. The owners Jenny and Stuart warmly welcomed us upon our arrival. We were shown around the Mill and were offered Tea and cake in the lounge area. Our room was of a good size and overlooked the Road / Laneway. While we were aware of vehicles passing by, it was never intrusive, and a good nights sleep was had on all 3 nights. The bathroom was exceptional and the shower luxurious. A good choice of breakfast menus was available, and several good eateries/pubs were close by for evening dining. The Mills gardens were gorgeous, with plenty of chairs/ seats available in different private areas. Stuart was very helpful guiding us to the local sights and lent us a good map of the surrounding areas. A nice touch was the Candle lit lanterns Jenny put out at night to line the driveway. A pleasant way to return to the Mill after dark. Be aware, the road to the Mill is a single laneway, but there are several passing areas to get pass other vehicles. Most roads in the area are narrow, but it is Devon after all. Highly recommend this accomodation.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Keynedon Mill. Jeni and Stuart could not do enough for us - breakfast is a treat with loads of choices and beautifully presented and afternoon tea with home made cake is just an extra touch. The grounds are also stunning and rooms lovely and clean. Great Hosts - keep doing what you do as you do it so well.
