I stayed in this beautiful location for a weekend and couldn't believe how wonderful it was. A little tricky to find to start with but then we appreciated the privacy once we found it with John's help! The whole set up here was excellent from greetings and tea on arrival through to John's hospitality and friendliness. He looked after us...

My friend and I have just spent a couple of days staying with John at The Lodge on the Lake. What an amazing place. Nestled amongst the trees on its own lake, you will feel like you have gotten away from the hustle and bustle of life. I sat on the decking watching a wide range of wildlife, including a...

Stayed with friends for the weekend and had a very relaxing time at The Lodge. The surroundings are stunning, peaceful and wished we could have stayed longer! John was great, making us feel very welcome. Hot tub under the stars is a bonus and the drinks on the decking over the lake were a treat! Would definitely recommend

A blissful nine nights spent at the Lodge on the Lake. Upon arrival, we were given a warm welcome by John and made to feel at home immediately. The lodge is set in the most beautiful, tranquil and very secluded countryside. We felt so relaxed and happy. The accommodation is enchanting. Lie in the hammock, sit in the hot tub...

Without a doubt an amazing place and set up. Both John & Barbara are both amazing people and have and provided a special venue for those that require a tranquil and beautiful surroundings. They both have that 'special touch' when it comes to hotel management. Well done!! They made us feel so welcome on arrival and during our short weekend...

An amazing find deep in the South Hams countryside! The accommodation was lovely with our own deck over the water where we drank our wonderfully refreshing jug of Pimms on arrival! The lakes and valley are enchanting and breakfast served outside on the large protruding decking was delicious with fresh home produce. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Indeed they...

Kerry and I were determined to try and stop saying WOW here!! However, this place lends itself to it constantly! It just shouldn't be referred to as a b & b, it has to have a new title, something as special as IT is! When we first arrived, John, the owner was all for us getting to and enjoying our...

We spent a lovely 3 days here. We had the larger of the 2 rooms which had duel aspect windows. The room led onto a beautiful patio with flowers and the water right in front of the room. Our breakfast was great and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts, Babara and John. We were even invited to a...

What an amazing find. There is not much info on Trip Advisor about this B&B yet because they only opened 3 weeks ago. We stayed for 2 nights. The B&B only has 2 rooms and is tucked away in the Devonshire countryside next to a lake in a very tranquil location, the only sound you hear is birdsong and a...
