Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just back from our holiday on this gorgeous site. This is our4th year with you. The view's are amazing breathtaking. I will not go on about the wonders of this site I will agree with all the other good reviews and there comments ( do not read the odd bad one's) We stay at the very bottom of the site H3 because the specios pitches for our extra wide caravan, we like that you have no other caravan in front of you. You have drinking water taps plentiful scattered around the site. The only problem is you have the hut where you take your heavy rubbish bags to in the rain some times it is a fairway up a incline hill . We have to leave any rubbish bags at night till morning outside our caravan bird's and wildlife that have been at them . I would like to make a request on behalf of us all who have pitches at the very bottom could you PLEASE consider putting waste bins in this areas to make our holidaying with you more easier. I know there are pitches at the top nearer the waste hut but most time's they are taken.. This will not stop us from holidaying with you.. But each year we don't get any younger to combat that hill ..

Thank you for your review of the site and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and really appreciate all your comments. With regards to your request for a bin store at the bottom of the site, as you say, refuse does attract wildlife & ultimately vermin so we avoid this by having all our bins housed in one building at the top of the site. It also enables us to maintain a panoramic view from the site for all our customers and means that no unit is pitched next to or near the sight or smell of a refuse bin. We hope this won't deter you from staying with us and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Excellent site. Just back from a 15 night stay with the family. Great facilities, big pitches and a fantastic location. Good on-site shop for anything you may need from coffee to extra pegs. Visiting food vans are definitely worth a visit also. Rode out 2 named storms during the stay. Will definitely go back again

This is now our third visit to this site and again it was a relaxing break on a lovely site with helpful staff. Due to a storm we chose to arrive later than planned, we phoned and the staff allowed us to pick up our information and pitch early evening. The site is really good for dogs with owners following the rules. The dog walk is excellent and enables the dogs to be exercised off the lead in a big field. Views from the site are great and the space between camping pitches is something we really appreciate and like. Will be back again in the future thank you.

We booked for seven nights. It was so windy when we arrived we couldn’t even get our awning up. There was no weather warning at the time, Site is so well kept and I’d imagine when it’s sunny the views are breathtaking. The little shop providing freshly baked goods every morning was a highlight for me. The top shower block I found to be superior but water could have been hotter. The shower in the lower block reduced to a dribble on me when the neighbour shower was turned on. The following day we managed to get the awning up but not as tightly as normal because it was still blowing a gale. Regretted it all night long as the caravan moved around to the point of making me feel sea sick. Didn’t get any sleep. Then had two calmer nights but I think it’s probably breezy there all the time. The next day a weather warning had been issued and awning warning signs appeared all over site. We had enough and packed up and left as I don’t want to imagine how bad the gusts got during an amber warning. Gutted as loved the spotless quiet site. Paid for the Wi-Fi for the week but it was absolutely useless. Kept kicking you off.

Only just leaving a review but we stayed in May 2023 and this was our 2nd time staying at this site after such a lovely stay in 2022. We are coming back in August 2023! It is simply brilliant. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The site and pitches are very well kept. There is a large recreation field where you can play racket and ball games. The designated dog walk field at the top of the site is OK, but the one at the bottom is far better. The shower and toilet facilities are excellent. Very clean. Every pitch has a sea view which is lovely. The shop is well stocked. Food vans often arrive at the site on an evening. The only thing it would benefit from is a childs playground with equipment, ie swings, slides etc. Highly recommend

Just back from our first visit, had 4 days here and will definitely be returning! We had a hard standing pitch and we requested to be next door to our Son and Daughter in law which they couldn’t guarantee when we booked but so happy that we were able to be . There are two shower and toilet blocks are spotlessly clean and modern, no holding the shower in to realise the water every 5 seconds!! There is a shop on site, and food can be bought from visiting pop up vans, the Mexican was good! There was a weather warning while we were there for winter conditions so the owners were making sure everyone was aware and checking awnings. Dog friendly, our loved it! A perfect, chilled stay.

Great site, as for views toilets and showers, shop looked good. Lovely walks. Good pubs in Mortehoe and restaurants and shops. Sadly had to give a score of 2 due to not being a good weekend getaway, as after politely asking if we could stay beyond our 11am leaving time, it was only extended to 1pm. This means we can’t support local businesses and have to add to the traffic chaos. The site has so many empty pitches staying on later even if we paid an extra £5 surely wouldn’t cause an issue. All this means is we won’t be revisiting this site again for weekend adventures.. Yet another local campsite on my blacklist.

We loved our visit - first time staying on a site with such amazing views. It was very relaxing to sit and watch the sun go down over the water. Great pitch on the top half of the site. Facilities all very good , kept very clean and tidy. Made use of the shop and the visiting food vans. The bus stop outside the site made it very easy to get around. We will definitely return.

Stayed for Whitsun half term. We are caravan and motorhome club members but none of those pitches were available. We were not disappointed. Our pitch was next to the children’s playing field. We could keep an eye on our daughter while she played and stay around our caravan. The pitch was hard standing but easy to peg the awning put. Good space between each pitch. Toilet blocks well thought out with substantial room between change area in cubicle and shower. Each shower had its own squeegee to clean the floor with. The staff were lovely, even offering to help me out with internet connection when the Wi-Fi crashed and I needed to hand an essay in for a deadline. The shop is well stocked and pop up vans visit. Totally recommend the Thai street food van. We loved the site that much we are going back this summer.
