My Husband and I stayed for a couple of nights in our motorhome. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. It had a very laid back feel- we could choose where we sited our motorhome. The site was incredibly well kept and very clean. The views are outstanding and Morte Hoe is absolutely lovely. We look forward to coming back again. Thank you for our stay.

It helped that we had stunning weather but this is a fabulous campsite. It is on the coast path and only a few minutes from Mortehoe. The grass pitches have amazing views to Mort Point, Lundy and the Welsh coast. Good, clean facilities and an on-site shop selling the basics and more. Great value for money for solo travellers as they charge per person.

We booked this as a last minute alternative and were very pleased with our stay. This is a large and well spread out site, primarily static vans with some area for tourers and camping. There is a very well stocked shop selling most items including fresh coffee and croissants. The views from the top of the site and the dog walking area (which is very good) are stunning, overlooking the sea which on a clear day you can see Wales. For the walkers, the routes are fantastic in both directions along the coastal path but be prepared, in places it’s not for the faint hearted. The route in is pretty difficult with the last three miles being mostly single carriage road with passing bays so be prepared for a slow finish! In the small town the two pubs are good and I would certainly recommend the fish and chips. Good bus service to the local towns which are dog friendly. Couple of minor criticisms but these didn’t distract from our break. The showers could do with some TLC, most of the hooks on the back of the door are broken and with no bench there is nowhere to hang your towel or clothes. Push buttons operation for the water is frustrating when it keeps going off mid way through. Second point being the motorhome service point is also a bit out of date, the drain for the waste is the old fashioned style small grate which is difficult to use without blocking the road if the your waste is on the near side. The above points aside, we found the site clean, quiet and very relaxing for a week and would recommend it if you’re in the area and looking for somewhere to stay for a few days.

In respect of the review below from Dayle A.. interesting version of events from him. Here is mine. We love North Morte and are regulars we adhere to all rules and get on fantastically well with all. I was on the dog exercise field ( a brilliant place to take our puppy off lead) as we respect the rules of the site by walking him on lead elsewhere. Lady with a child on a bike on the exercise field.. our puppy ran over to their puppy and started playing. The lady called her dog back who wouldn’t return. I called mine back who also didn’t! Child starting running around and screaming and fell over and our pup went and stood over here. I exchanged words with the lady about the merits of not bringing a child and bike on a dog exercise field. She then stated you haven’t heard the last of this and I advised her yes please speak to the owner if they were concerned. A few hours later I was walking down the country lane outside the park when this big thug of a man shouted abuse using the C word and threatening to kill my dog. He then screamed in my face took off my glasses and tried to break them and threw them down on the floor.. yep a big man! Me being an elder person this was bullying at its best! luckily we don’t meet too many of these characters at this amazing caravan park so please don’t let people like him put you off from booking.. it’s an incredible place with incredible staff.

Nice clean site, as mentioned in other reviews, the hook up pitches have no sea view but that's not a moan, just an observation. Toilets and other facilities clean and tidy. Pubs in the village all ok. If you go to the chippy in high season be prepared of a loooooong wait. Great base for walking the coast path.
