Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great campsite, small & quiet. Great location to Wollacombe & Ilfracombe. Pitches felt a bit small but our tent is quite large. Great playarea for kids. We were very unlucky with the weather which impacted on our stay but it wouldn't deter us from returning. An honesty shop for the basics or even a pop up food van would be a welcomed addition.

Our third visit to bay view farmers and once again we loved it. The pitches are so spacious. The toilets and showers facilities are excellent, the heaters inside were very much appreciated over this wet weekend! We had pizzas on Saturday which were lovely. Can’t wait to plan our next visit!!

Stayed for 6 nights and wished we had booked for longer. Scotty, who looks after the site was friendly and did what he could to help, he even found us a pub to watch the F1. The site its self is well maintained and the pitches are spacious. The facilities are regularly cleaned, the showers are nice and hot. Just outside the small gate is the local pub. This became our local for the time we were there. We didn't eat there but the food looked amazing. You'll find Scotty in there too , he always came over and chatted with us, he's a real friendly guy. The bus stop is outside the pub, I would recommend using it to get the woolacombe as the walk is over 3 fields and past the post box (Ha ha, private joke with the pub landlord) Woolacombe beach has to be one of the best I have seen and the views are amazing. This is a great site to stay at and I do wish we had booked for longer. Hopefully we will be back for another holiday. THANK YOU SCOTTY.

Lovely camp site, immaculately Clean, good wi fi which we used to watch Netflix etc, staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly, very laid back feel. Would just let fellow campers aware it’s quite a walk into woolacombe across fields, as the road does not have a path). The pub at the back gate is very friendly and food excellent, but lots of others didn’t use as looks a little run down. Went to the old mill which is just 10 min walk away and was a lovely pub with good good. Ps local taxis charge time and a half after 9 pm. Hope others enjoy as much as we have.

We found this site online and were not disappointed. Super clean shower & toilet blocks - they are mixed facilities for women & men, there were hairdryers but they were not very powerful. Free wifi, which was good. Pitch pretty good size with electric hook up. Site has stone cooked pizzas on a Saturday night. There are dog washing facilities & wetsuit drying and pot washing. A walk into Woolacombe. There are some dvds and books to borrow. Our only issue were our neighbours who were very noisy and had a caravan, awning & a separate tent which was out the back of our van within a foot of it. Also a couple of our heavy duty awning pegs disappeared! We would come back but I would ask for a different pitch position.

Found this site by chance on the Internet and what an absalute fantastic site it is. We were on pitch 48 which had lovely views over the sea which gave fantastic sunsets(shown in pic). The pitches are of a good size and well spaced. We didn't use wash facilities as we use our own. But all we're kept very clean. A lovely welcome when we arrived and a hello every day off the lovely guy that kept the site looking great. A gate at the end of the field leads to a lovely pub which would highly recommend the food was fab. Also you can walk to Ilfracombe from here. Great central location where you can get out and about easily. Will definitely be back 🌞

We stayed for a week during the busy August "Staycation" period when Devon and Cornwall were absolutely rammed with people. Whilst all the local takeaways, restaurants and other hospitality venues were either fully booked or had queues going round the street, it was lovely to escape back to Bay View which was still quiet and relaxed. Close to the beautiful village of Mortehoe and Woolacombe itself this site is in a great position to explore the area. There is a gate at the back of the site leading straight onto the Tarka Trail. The owners are constantly there sorting out the site or helping people and it shows. Very well organised, nice sized pitches, nice children's play area and the most amazing dog bath area we have come across (nice on-lead dog walking area too). There were short queues for sinks and showers some mornings and so it could benefit maybe with a few more washrooms but overall we could not fault it. Fantastic site which we would highly recommend and we will definitely look to stay here again if we are in the area.

Stayed for 6 nights in August. Very well run and efficient campsite without bells and whistles. Everything you want from a comfortable quiet medium sized campsite. Mixed shower blocks don’t suit everyone but it means no one is discriminated against and families can be super flexible with their children’s needs. Guy that cleans does an amazing job and is relentlessly hard working. If you pay a premium rate you get an extra large grass pitch AND Large hard standing with own electric hook up, tap and grey water drain. If you pick well you also get a view out to sea. Dogs are welcome and there is a good dog walking field with mown pathways and flower planting. Nice touch. 1.5-2 miles to Woolacombe’s Sandy beach. No wonder this campsite won the 2019 pitch up award.

Great campsite, VERY CLEAN. Cleanest campsite we've stayed at. VERY windy due to being high up and by the sea, this would put us off coming BACK. Electric plots up by the back gate is best spots out way. Back gate leads right onto Tarka Trail, 40mins walk to Ilfracombe GREAT location
