Lovely little stay in the North Devon countryside. We stayed in one of 3 self catering cottages at the back of the main house. Our cottage slept 4 over 2 bedrooms. Both bedrooms were of good size, with plenty of storage space for all the bits and bobs you need to bring when travelling with a young family. Our double... More

Fantastic English country experience in beautiful surroundings with delicious hospitality received from hosts, Paul and Murial. Booked for 3 nights and stayed for 5! The perfect getaway, to explore the Devon countryside and beaches nearby, then fall into a four poster bed with the country vista spread out in front in this gorgeous Georgian country manor house. Great room, complete... More

We spent four nights at Nichols Nymet, and found the hosts, Paul and Muriel to be gracious and friendly without being intrusive. The English breakfast was delicious, and they inquired every evening as to exactly what we wanted. The location is about 35 minutes from Exeter, and a little drive to the coast or Dartmoor, so very well-located. We had... More

This was not the first time that I had visited Nichols Nymet, and I was so glad to have had the chance to return once again. The room in which I stayed was beautifully presented and decorated, and the room also boasted an extremely generous en-suite bathroom which consider to be a huge plus. I always have an excellent night's... More

Stayed for two nights, made to feel very welcome, excellent breakfast. Stayed in room 2 a twin bedded room with sofa and views over the valley and lakes. One bed very soft the other firm, suited us fine. Will stay again. Care needed driving over track from road to house due to sheep everywhere.

This is a unique property in a uniquely peaceful and delightful location. Our second time of visiting and Paul and Muriel greeted us like old friends. It’s easy to see why there are so many returners to this house/home. Comfortable, cosy beds made sleep easy, and lovely warm fluffy towels were welcome after a bath. I didn’t ring the servant’s... Five days and nights of stunning scenery and blissful tranquility were exactly what I needed having escaped London. The room had a luxurious four-poster bed and a well-appointed bathroom with bath and shower. Paul and Muriel are the perfect hosts and there is lots of lovely countryside nearby for walking. I cannot wait to return.

In addition to B&B, Nichols Nymet House also provides self catering apartments and Manor House rental (over Christmas and New Year). The B&B accommodation is contained within the main body of the grand Georgian Manor House. A magnificent double staircase sweeps you up to the rooms which are large, spacious and very well decorated and appointed. The bathroom was warm... More
