I can’t recommend Coast View enough! We came for a holiday with our two year old and all 3 of us have had the most perfect week away. The lodge we stayed in was immaculate, beautifully decorated with stunning views and so much space! Our little one loved the park which was always quiet and the pool which has a great sized toddler pool too. We ate at the Bucket and Spade Thursday evening and found all the staff friendly and accommodating and we also had takeaway two evenings which the wonderfully kind chef went out of his way to provide for us. This is what we found with every single member of staff we met, that they couldn’t do enough for us and went above and beyond to ensure we were having a brilliant time. The park is brilliantly located for a whole manner of attractions and beaches and Shaldon itself is so pretty for an evening stroll. All 3 of us were so sad to be leaving today and have already started to talk about when we can come back! Thank you so much to everyone at Coast View, you have created a beautiful holiday park and we have had a fabulous holiday.

I came here a few times in the 70's, camping with my mum and dad, in fact I learned to swim in the then outdoor pool. (Now indoor). So much nostalgia in this place for me even if most of it now is unrecognisable.
The customer service here is second to none, a call a week before you arrive and another call on the day of arrival is a lovely touch but it just gets better from there.
We arrived on Saturday afternoon for a seven day stay with an easy uncomplicated check in and a map to the chalet which we found very easily. Upon entering you are met with a spotlessly clean living area, with all of the appliances you could possibly need, a real home from home feeling. The bed was already made up so all that was left for us to do was a quick unpack and relax.
This really is a holiday spot that has decided to go above and beyond the normal and if you add to that the location with stunning views and fabulous walks which our dogs appreciated then you really cant lose.
Totally recommended, we are already looking at when we can come next!

When me and my mum arrived at our chalet our initial reaction was one of just… amazement as we looked around.
The view is just out of this world. What a treat it was for us and we enjoyed every moment. The whole site/park has amazing views you can’t go wrong!
The inside of the chalet was so nicely kept, everything you need inside down to the smallest detail. Very clean too, the cleaners are amazing and the site holds high standards. The facilities onsite were tip top and such a blessing to use for the week at no extra cost. Pool and gym, we used both!! The site is close to teignmouth and other places. Walking distance to Shaldon too! I also want to mention the manager Russell by name and the other staff there Kate, Bronwyn and others, all so friendly, lovely and welcoming and very helpful. A pleasure to meet them. Made our stay even more enjoyable. If I’m honest if we had the money we would buy something there. Definitely going back for a holiday anyway. I give it 6 stars out of 5!!! Perfect holiday! Just what me and mum needed! Thanks

The view from chalet was amazing. The chalet was ok and appeared clean on entry but not up to our standard of cleanliness, to much of owners clutter about. Some of the oven dishes and pans were unusable as so dirty as was the oven. The bathroom didn't smell very nice, had black mould on tiles and a dirty shower curtain thankfully it also had a bath. Did not use pool as there was no changing facilities. Restaurant was fully booked on Sat evening even for take away food, it was closed on Monday and Tuesday we booked a table online for Wednesday evening only to find it closed when we arrived with no explanation. We went to speak to the manager next morning he wasn't available. The reception is only open 9 - 5 with no contact numbers given not sure what would happen if you had an emergency. Website states shops pubs within walking distance but Don't expect to have a leisurely stroll into village as the road is narrow and busy with no footpaths. You can walk across golf course and on coastal path but that was quite wet and muddy wouldn't want to do it at night. Nice and quiet very relaxing great if your not planning driving about.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review on your recent holiday at Coast View. During your stay we didn't receive any complaints from you about the cleanliness or standard of your accommodation. It's really difficult to address issues of customer dissatisfaction if we're not made aware of them. The Bucket and Spade restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays as we are currently experiencing staff shortages, as is most of the hospitality industry. On the Wednesday our only chef was unable to work so we had to close the kitchen unexpectedly. We contacted every table booking to make them aware of this situation but I apologise if you didn't get a message confirming your cancellation. I was in a meeting when you visited Reception to see me. I did call round to your chalet to speak to you in person a couple of times but on each occasion you weren't in. Reception is open from 8am until 6pm and the contact number is clearly displayed in our holiday guide along with an out of hours mobile number which can be used in the case of an emergency. At check in we notify every guest of this so I'm surprised at your comment that Reception is only open from 9am until 5pm. Our team work really hard to ensure all of our guests have an enjoyable and relaxing holiday during these difficult times. I apologise if this was not the case with you but had we been made aware of some of the issues you had we could possibly have had the opportunity to address them. Once again, thank you for your review. Kind regards Russell Knight

We have recently stayed at Coast View, Shaldon. We stayed in an Otter 2 (as described on hoseasons) and we could not ask for a much better lodge. The lodge was fitted with everything that we needed and the views were spectacular. Our particular lodge overlooked Teignmouth and Shaldon. The pool and the restaurant are currently open although have restrictions due to covid. Overall, we had a lovely stay at Coast View and we would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore the South Devon coastline.

I font usually fo this however. We booked what was duppost to be a lodge.
This is no way a lodge, it is more of a small chalet.
The chalet itself is nice but very small,
The kitchen is small woth hardly any cupboard space no extractor fan on the cooker.
We payed over thousands pond for a week, it certainly is not worth yhst around of money.
You cannot park your car as you on the top of s hill, on the 2nd layer, rely dilly as you have to pl or your luggage up a massive hill.
There is a sea veiw,
However there is a .massive tree In.front this partially blocks the veiw
The club on.site is very expensive, you cannot vape even outside.
No shop on site its 5 mins in car to nearest shop.
Definitely not for disabled or any one who has trouble walking

Don't expect anything to get done. Hopless lost cause. On site Bucket and Spade floor disgusting and owner Josh [--]rude and not to be trusted.
On site management couldn't run a tap... Don't expect to find everything satisfactory or upto standard...

Had a 3 bedroom lodge for a week in September 2022. Not the cheapest but worth every penny. Lodge was excellent, superbly equipped, probably the best we have stayed in. Really good. But the view was ...... ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING. Every time we came back to the lodge or got up in the morning the view was breath-taking. We shall be returning without doubt. Helped by excellent weather but even without that, as I say, worth every penny. The village of Shaldon is great too.

Can you walk from Coastview to Shaldon village?
Answer from SWHP1
Devon, United Kingdom1 contribution
Hello! Building work at the entrance to the park is looking to be complete over the winter so should not affect any stays that are booked for next year. If there is building work going on at the park we do advise on Hoseasons so that you are aware while booking and you're always welcome to give us a call to find out what is going on. The Sid 2 bed Pet lodges all come with their own double parking space next to the lodge :-) I hope this helps and hope to see you for a holiday next year!

Hello Grahame, thank you for asking a question and a good one too! I can see no one has replied, but maybe it would be worth you coming to visit our park and seeing the rooms for yourself? We think it's important to know what you are buying and if one of our lodges are for you. So we would be more than welcome to have you down and show you around the park and lodges - We look forward to hearing from you soon - Amica and The Cost View Team
