We recently stayed at the Whitechapel cottages for a hen do and had the most amazing time . We could not believe how beautiful the main house and cottages were and how well equipped we found them We made use of both the outside and indoor hot tub as well as the sauna and had a great time canoeing on...

Spent a lovely day in this idyllic cottage. The Grooms Lodge was beautiful and so conveniently placed next to the Stables, where we found the spa and steam room. Fantastic. Great base for visiting Cheddar Gorge, Lynton and Lynmouth, Woolacombe Beach, South Molten, Tarr Steps and had a lovely day on a steam train to Minehead. Plenty of eateries in...

We've just got home from visiting the Whitechapel cottages, we stayed in the Cartwheel Cottage whilst everyone else stayed in Barton House Cottage. The cartwheel cottage was a nice size for 4 people, we had plenty of space and it was so peaceful and quiet. The "romantic suite" was lovely, bed was so comfortable and the room had a calming...

When we search we look at luxury cottages, dog friendly with fishing on site . Whitechapel ticks all the boxes . Set only a mile off the main Tiverton to Barnstaple road from junction 27 M 5. it's a haven of peace and tranquility both within easy reach of South Molton 5 miles which has a Sainsburys with cash machine...

We rented Barton house and cartwheel cottage for a hen do. However it would be suitable to hire for families, friends and a great place for a wedding. The location was beautiful. The main house looks out onto the lake, which is far enough away for children to play safely in the garden. The properties were very clean and provided...

I couldn't have been happier with my week at Whitechapel Cottages. Fresh flowers awaited us in the lovely Barton House, and the views out across the fields, lake, and forest were second to none. Chris was very welcoming and went to great effort to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. We were within easy reach of nearby beaches, and...

The properties are in the most beautiful setting, it's a real family affair here and nothing is too much trouble for them. We arrived early but we were met with a real warm welcome. Chris came over to introduce himself with his son Rubén and to make sure we had everything we needed. Fresh flowers and a bottle of wine...

I took 4 teenage girls for a break in the spacious Barton House. We felt very welcome by Chris, were well looked after and loved the views of the lake, the hot tub, the fire pit for marshmallows, the easy access to North Devon beaches and the comfort and quality of the house. There were enough rooms for me to...

Visited for spring half term with the family, what an amazing place! Well situated on the edge of Exmoor, this is an excellent place from which to explore the surrounding countryside. The cottage was well fitted out, comfy with good facilities, and Chris and family looked after us very well. Overall 5/5 and will visit again.

A big group of all ages stayed at all 3 properties for a week & we've had a wonderful time. Chris's warmth & relaxed approach to everything made us feel immediately at home; nothing was too much bother & he was very flexible about various requests eg moving tables so that a big group of us could eat together &...
