I had a one night stay at The George and cannot speak highly enough of every aspect of my stay. The room was spotlessly clean with beautiful decor. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were the best I've ever slept on. In fact I meant to ask where I could buy them. The breakfast didn't disappoint either, everything you could wish for and perfectly cooked. It was a bonus to have free parking at the rear of the hotel. My husband and I visit South Morton, approximately every eight weeks to see a close relative in a care home- we have tried many hotels in the area including quite a few Airbnb’s but for us The George always comes up trumps. Impeccably clean with wonderfully friendly staff and the best breakfast in the area. You cannot beat this hotel for both quality of service and cost. We would thoroughly recommend.

Just fantastic. Easy free parking to the rear of the hotel. Lovely warm welcome on arrival, friendly and inviting staff, spotlessly clean and tidy, comfy and cosy rooms, very comfortable bed, brilliant shower, very tastefully decorated room. Yummy breakfast each morning. Absolutely brilliant all round🤩, 5 stars.

From the moment we arrived at the George to the moment we left the stay was perfect. All staff polite, welcoming & made us feel at home. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent rooms, clean, tidy & fab decor. Staff directed us to a lovely pub The Coaching Inn which served traditional pub grub & was amazing! The George breakfast was amazing great choice, great service & great atmosphere. We’ll worth the money. Highly recommend & would definitely return.

Went with family for afternoon tea, food was delicious, service was fantastic and the staff were brilliant! We all thoroughly enjoyed and would deffinatly recommend it! We even had a box of left overs to come home!

Why did I give the George 5 Stars? Well only because this app won’t let me give it 6! I had a very pleasant two night stay whilst attending a course nearby and I can not speak highly enough. From the warm welcome when I arrived, the spacious clean and well appointed room to the comfortable bed and delicious breakfast… there really was nothing to fault. Well don the George and thank you for a great stay.

Everything about this hotel was top notch. It was clean, light and comfortable; the staff were excellent - nothing was too much trouble for them eg it is a bed & breakfast establishment so if guests order a takeaway evening meal the staff set a table in the breakfast room and warmed some plates

Good attention to detail, room was clean, heavy black out curtains, bathroom and shower immaculate, bed was soft but supported my back. Breakfast was really good, server was attentive and got order correct taking account of individual needs. We would definitely return here again, thank you for a pleasant stay.

I stayed at The George for 11 days while visiting friends and traveling around Devon. Great location in central South Molton, near shops and a wonderful public marketplace open Thursdays and Saturdays. The single room was good size and the bed was very comfortable, neither too soft nor too firm. Large bathroom with lots of space to put your things and nice big power shower. Everything very very clean. Included breakfasts were substantial and tasty. Staff members were kind and willing to accommodate my requests. Management was patient about my cancelling and rebooking multiple times due to changes in travel plans (thank you!). Overall an excellent experience; hope to stay again.

We went for afternoon read for my husbands birthday. Couldn’t have wished for more … from white linen table cloths and beautiful decorative china. Sandwiches were freshly made with delicious fillings, scones definately made fresh that day with lashing of clotted cream and jam. Lots of small cakes too. Thank you for a very special treat
