Detailed Reviews
Great hosts, beds were really big and solid built. Really good layout of toilets and showers, BBQ was useful, as was outbuilding for storing bikes. Two charging points were handy and very reasonable.
I’d go stay there again. There were 8 of us staying.

My son and I stayed here for a night when we were doing the Lands End to John O'Groats. The location couldn't be better. It's really more of a small hostel than a bunkhouse. Well equipped, clean, good showers - what more could you ask for? The couple that run it were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Their families have farmed in the area for generations so they've got good knowledge of routes and local weather conditions.

Having stayed with a large group over New Years, we were pleasantly surprised to find this place to be the nicest we've ever stayed in. Proper beds with duvets and pillows, underfloor heating and a well kitted out kitchen and bathroom with excellent showers. The owners have clearly put in a lot of care and attention when developing the place and as a result our stay was luxurious!
We would definitely stay there again as exmoor is on your doorstep and

I stayed with a large group of friends to celebrate the New Year and enjoy long walks on the moor. We booked out the entire bunkhouse for 2 nights and can highly recommend this place to you.
Cost - £20 pppn might not seem cheap (we've stayed in places for £3pn) but it's worth every penny. The bunkhouse itself is beautiful and the owners do everything they can to make your life that little bit easier. There was milk in the fridge to get you started and the kitchen has all the basics that you need to put together a good meal. The underfloor heating was an amazing feature.
Rooms - the beds were comfortable and a good size (even our 6ft friends had a good sleep!). Bedding was nice so no need to take a sleeping bag.
Showers- hot and clean which is pretty much all you need after a day on the moor.
Location - we went for a 15 mile walk that took in 2 pubs and Tarr Steps. Others in the group opted for a short drive and a 6 mile walk to Tarr Steps so there is something in the local area for everyone.
A great few days

A great Bunkhouse with fantastic views, big beds and everything you need for an enjoyable weekend. We hired the whole bunk for a group and loved it. Very helpful with advice and ideas on the local area, and very friendly. Would highly recommend and I think we will be returning too.

We have stayed at Blindwell Bunkhouse twice now, both times we wish we had more time here as it really is an amazing location on top of Exmoor. A favourite location for us to film car reviews. Carol and Pete are great hosts, always super helpful. Couldn't recommend staying here more! We will be back

We spent three days in the bunkhouse, and will definitely be back! We were a mum and three children and took the four-person Danesfield Room which was compact, cosy and warm.
The kitchen / dining area was really well equipped (even with tea towels, wash cloths, washing up liquid, cooking oil and condiments) so we were able to easily prepare a family meal every night. There is a big fridge, but no freezer.
Carol goes out of her way to be helpful, and the family are lovely. Next time, I will take an OS map as I was quite reliant on my sat nav, and coverage is very patchy in the area. Thank goodness for the free WiFi at the bunkhouse - I was able to set the sat nav every day before we set off.
There are lots of leaflets in the bunkhouse for things to do locally - again my OS map would have been useful. Quite remote here, but that is the utter beauty of it. The Tarr Steps are close by and are well worth a visit, as is the pannier market Thursdays and Saturday in South Molton 8am - 1pm.

Great place to stay for individuals and groups visiting Exmoor. You need to provide all your own bedding, towels, etc but there are 3 rooms, sleeping 6, 6 and 4 in adult sized bunks so some privacy is possible. The owners, Pete and Carol, are friendly and helpful and well-behaved dogs are welcome. The surrounding countryside is superb, ideal for walking or cycling. Red deer live in the fields opposite the farm.

We stayed on a Friday night after 2 days cycling around North Devon before heading back to South Devon on the Saturday. 8 of us in total.
The bunkhouse had everything you could need, being cosy, well equipped and beautifully situated. Fantastic views!
Carol and Pete were great hosts - offering great local knowledge and kindly booking dinner for us at the wonderful London Inn in Molland.
Thank you - wonderful stay!

We booked Blindwell Bunkhouse for a reunion of old uni friends. The bunkhouse was very well equipped and perfect for our gathering. We have stayed at other bunkhouses which have not been anywhere near as good. I have already recommended Blindwell Bunkhouse and we will have no hesitation in returning next year.
