Had a the pleasure of a long weekend here with my family in February. Carla and Julian were fantastic hosts with nothing too much trouble. Very homely relaxed atmosphere, lovely food, highly recommended.

Thanks Jules and Carla for making us feel so welcome and being so flexible keeping the kitchen open as we were late. A great place to stay and a superb atmosphere, much improved compared to the previous owners. Ben and Hazel

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Friendly staff and owners. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Dog friendly with lovely walks along the river. The food was delicious with the chef accommodating for my veggie needs.

We stopped here having alighted the train at Umberleigh station on the "Otter Line". It was early evening but food was being served so we stayed for an excellent meal. Not a very long or complicated menu, but perfectly cooked and presented.
