This was a spur of the moment booking to give ourselves a chance to visit the coast. We decided to visit the restaurant and sample the Thai menu. We were not disappointed. The food was authentic Thai cooked by Richard’s wife. She is to be commended. Our room was small but lacked for nothing. The only shame is that this is too far away to go for an evening meal!
Thanks to Richard for his wonderful hospitality. Super attentive and friendly. Home Farm is very well presented inside a lovely old building, our room was really comfortable, facilities were good and breakfast was lovely. We didn’t try the restaurant for dinner during our stay, but we did make the most of the bar! Highly recommend a stay. Ideally located for a stop off if you’re heading down to Cornwall
We stayed for a couple nights in October and had a warm welcome from the host, Richard. The room was very good and the Thai food, cooked by his wife, was excellent. All the food is freshly cooked with genuine Thai ingredients. Richard asks how spicy you like your food and your dish is cooked to suit.
When we arrived we received a warm welcome by Richard. He checked us in and showed us around the hotel. We could really see how proud of his hotel he really is and quite rightly so. It is a charming, welcoming and cosy place. Richard showed us to our room and showed us how to use the shower. Now, my only negative about our stay is the shower. It was a complicated procedure, which could take up to 10 minutes to get the shower working properly. The negative out the way, now to our stay. The room was lovely and had everything you required for your stay, fridge, hairdryer etc. We love cats and there was always a cat about to greet you. They were friendly and very cute. The hotel itself is very clean and tidy. You can see the owners and staff take pride in what they do. We had breakfast both mornings which was lovely and Richard served us and we had a laugh with him. The second night of our stay we ate in the hotel restaurant. We don't normally eat Thai food, however we did this night. Although we had to wait a while for our food, it was well worth it. The food was flavoursome, very yummy :) and a generous portion. Give this hotel a try because you will not forget it in a hurry. Thank you to Richard and the staff for a nice stay.…
We went for a Thai meal at this hotel and I cannot fault the food at all, it was really good. However, the waiting time to be served was unacceptable. The owner Richard was doing everything on his own, he covered reception, served behind the bar, took food orders, waited tables. He apologised for the wait telling us it was because hospitality was so badly affected that he just couldn’t get any staff! Whilst I appreciate it must be so difficult to run a busy this way he should have set our expectations from the outset, and of those who was also waiting an excessively long time to be served. We arrived at 6pm, finally placed our order for food at 6.55pm, our starter arrived at 7.25pm. This is something that will certainly dissuade people from going back, but like I said if he had set expectations people would have the choice to wait or go elsewhere.…
