Holiday park is very nice and clean but I made the mistake of signing up to their third party Wi-Fi supplier for an additional fee. Firstly they require the MAC address of every device that will be using Wi-Fi, then your email address and then it never really works, just could never log on and when I complained I was told it could take a few days (not good when you are only there for week). I asked for a refund which took a bit of haggling but eventually got my money back. The issue I have now, is that I receive between 10 to 15 Spam emails a day, related to Tesco, Asda, Waitrose vouchers. Dragons den weight loss pills and various other phishing emails. This only stated after visiting the park and providing their supplier with my email address, 4 months later I have finally had to change my email address to avoid this electronic harassment. I realise they will read this and just respond with “we try our best with our suppliers and are working hard to provide a good service” but unfortunately this is not good enough. Selling your guests email addresses, and who knows what other personal information is a direct breach of data protection laws and just plain stupidity from the owners. There are lots of reviews highlighting this issue with your Wi-Fi supplier yet nothing has changed. I recommend you update your mobile data package before going, firstly it will cost less that their exorbitant prices and you will keep your personal information safe. Unfortunately for me this is a deal breaker and no matter how goof the park was I will never be returning. Sort it out Woolacoombe bay, it’s really not that difficult.

Great place, plenty to do even when the weather isn’t great. Tried a few places in Devon, definitely our favourite. Being able to use the other parks gives great choice and most importantly keeps my kids entertained.

A wonderful seaside break was had by us during the October half term. We hadn't been away since the start of the pandemic and it was fabulous. Spectacular memories and lots of laughter. We will definitely be returning.

We actually visited in 2019. The accommodation was good. Swimming pool stung my eyes so much I only lasted 5 mins. Entertainment was packed, had black things floating in my Prosecco, which was swiftly exchanged. Everything else we were happy with and it was very reasonably priced. Fast forward to post covid money grabbing times and everything is much more expensive. We still thought we’d go as there was a 30% discount until end of October. Still a lot more expensive than it once was though. I find the website bad enough at the best of times, but when I tried to book on 31/10 (and I’ve learnt my lesson in leaving things to the last minute), the website did not work properly. It took me ages to select the caravan and when I was able to, I then couldn’t make payment. I tried different cards from different banks in both mine and my husbands name, also tried different devices. Clearly an issue with the website. I took screenshots of everything including the online chat (which was also firing out random numbers!). When I phoned the following day and explained the issue I’d experienced and asked if they could honour the discount given the issue was on their side, they said it wasn’t possible and that no one else had this problem (not sure how they’d know this!). I then complained via email only to be told the same thing. I then sent screenshots and didn’t receive a response. Since covid, demand for this kind of holiday has increased, which means customer service has become awful as there will always be another person willing to pay a fortune for what could be a washout. To effectively be called a liar twice, is a disgrace. I have since booked a luxury hotel including breakfast for the same price! I will not be using this place again. Just because you are very popular in the current climate, doesn’t mean you will always be. Change your attitude or you will lose more customers!

Thank you for your review, we are sorry that you experienced inconveniences on your holiday two years ago but are pleased that you felt satisfied overall. We are sorry you experienced difficulty booking in the final two hours of the promotion we'd been running from mid-February in the height of this year's lockdown until the end of October. During that period, even when demand ballooned to levels never seen before for both holidays in 2021 but also with forward bookings for 2022 unlike anything we've ever seen before, we have not increased our holiday prices, or reduced our discounts, since the day the promotion launched that being the day before Boris Johnson announced the Government's roadmap to unlocking the country. It was a promotion that was advertised very heavily to our previous guest database right from the end of August and then really ramping up in the final ten days of the promotion. Throughout those final days we recommended not leaving it to the last minute to book as numerous banks had recently reported issues with their banking software and we also were very aware of the booking trends coming in that, that it was likely a holiday for sought-after accommodation or dates might not be there even after a small delay, We were pleased to see there was still something available at the end of the promotion. Bookings on the final day of the promotion would not be exaggerated to say they were astounding; indeed they exceeded the previous record by a significant factor of multipication. Again, we don't discount that some users may have issues booking online but these are often software (such as using VPNs or not installing updates on browsers, both known issues) or hardware issues such as routers. We certainly know these issues happen as they are not uncommon, and not being our tech they are not something we can resolve, but we can encourage customers not to leave it too late to book - in particular our phone support service, email and live chat opening hours were extended for that final day but you attempted your booking later than these. If we experienced an issue with our website then we would certainly honour the discounts/prices, however all the website reporting does not indicate this was the case. I have reviewed the transcript of your calls to us as well as emails, from what you describe the issue is likely not to be with your bank but with your browser/internet connection. I was also concerned to review them given your serious allegation that my team called you a liar. I cannot see in the transcripts that this was ever said or that we gave that impression, I certainly do not discount that this was your perception and am sorry that you feel that way. We are sorry that we won't be able to welcome you on this occasion but we hope you enjoy your holiday at your chosen alternative destination, that we may have the pleasure of welcoming you again to Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks in the future. Woolacombe town and beach is gorgeous but the site and facilities were terrible. We paid £500 for the most dire caravan we could not stay in for three nights. It was cold, damp, there was mold and it was dirty and broken and totally sub standard, it was not double glazed and had one gas fire we could not use with a 2 year old as it was dangerous. Gold caravans claimed to be only 6-7 years old but caravans without double glazing and central heating have not been made for about 15 years. We were upgraded eventually so that was better as it was double glazed and central heating, but there was no path to the caravan and we had to walk on grass and mud, down a slope to get there, this was a slip hazard and got worse with more rain.. There was no where to park and there was seating outside for four people, yet the van was for eight people, The pool was only allowed one use a day for 45 mins and I do not believe this is Covid related as you were happy for everyone to mix in the changing room, therefore it was impossible to have good use of the facilities. The music at night was so loud it kept us awake. Overall the whole place was tired, overpriced and disappointing. We paid for a sea view but did not get it. You say the site is within walking distance to the beach, which is stretching it, especially with children. You have mis-sold the whole place and the pictures on the website no way reflect the reality.
