I Have been going to Woolacombe sands since I was a little girl and staying in their bungalows. I had planned to take my son for his first holiday this march. We then had to cancel due to lockdown and the restrictions not being lifted until a week after our planned holiday date. I didn't even get a response to my first email trying to get a new holiday date this year. And then there was no help in getting me a new date this year and i was told that if I moved to next year they'd charge me extra! I then got a generic email saying "no holiday will be lost" what a joke! I would of at least expected the price I paid for my holiday to be honoured. Not told to pay extra just so they could make an extra buck. They wouldn't even tell me how much they were putting their prices up for next year. I cant agree to pay something I don't know how much it could be. I am extremely disappointed and feel very let down by a company that I had such faith in for so many years.…
Our first stay here - did the first three nights in a tent with electric hookup. Weather has been awful but this has not affected the great time we have had. The beach is a short walk away, although we have taken the car with us to be able to change into and out of wetsuits easily. Fab beach. Maintenance man gave us a jump start when our car wouldn’t start, really nice guy and very efficient! Evening entertainment has been brilliant - the Staff are fantastic: friendly, fun and really hardworking - our two children (aged 5 and 10) have been fully entertained. We’ve used the indoor pool - lovely - had it to ourselves for our slot which was great. Nice kids park and Crazy Golf on site too! Due to our tent springing a leak, the last two nights we switched up to a Bronze Cabin - really nice for our family of 4 - all you need, cozy gas heater and fully equipped. Comfy beds too - really chuffed. Overall, cannot thank the Staff enough for our great family holiday - will definitely be coming back!…
We visited last weekend and booked through the sun holidays. We were Allocated ocean view 6 which the only good thing about the caravan is it’s near the complex. The caravan is the worst we have stayed in from sun holidays. The pitch has no gravel or Slabs next to it so as it rained the whole weekend it’s was just mud as soon as you step out of the van therefore your feet sink in mud and with no mop supplied the van was completely covered in mud from 4 people walking back in had i known i would have brought wellies as my new trainers are now ruined. The van is very old and tired and small with only a gas fire for heating. The second night we arrived at the restaurant at 6.20 but couldn’t get in as fully booked as the restaurant and entertainment is all in the same place so we had to drive 10 miles to find a pub to eat. On the Sunday we thought we would go to the shop and get a takeaway sandwich but they had nothing left at 1pm so again left us trying to find something quick to eat. Good things are the kids entertainment during the day we did the pumpkin carving and the slime making and the kids loved it All in all i wouldn't book again but if they spent money on paving slabs next to caravan then would be so much better. Also don’t rely on facilities to eat as may be disappointed if you can’t get any but when you do the food was very nice. …
A fabulous family friendly holiday park! We had a weekend filled w swimming, park plays, beach walks and horse riding. Woolacombe Sands offers amazing facilities, our static caravan was well equipped, extremely clean, warm and very comfortable. It had beautiful views towards Woolacombe beach. My two young daughters loved seeing Woolly Bear (the park mascot) throughout various times of the day. I must say everything was very Covid safe and the holiday park should be applauded from this perspective. We look forward to visiting again in the near future.
We have just returned from a four night stay at Woolacombe Sands and are looking to book again. We stayed in Atlantic Platinum. It was clean, spacious, warm and well equipped. The views were outstanding and absolutely made our stay. The clubhouse was great, staff very friendly, good choice of food which was very tasty and hot. To order you have to go online because of covid. We had a couple of times where the Internet cut off so the staff took our order instead. We played bingo which was fun. Would highly recommend Woolacombe Sands, I wish we were still there.
