Staff friendly , breakfast self service but tasty .Room very clean.View from hotel and dining room outstanding . These are reason for 3/5. Cheap but needs hotel needs updating to bring into 21st century. Ideal for short stay say 1/2 days. With a lot of money spent could be great hotel with position and view.

Hotel is in need of a serious makeover inside and out. It was a place to put our heads. Friendly staff a bar and a good breakfast in the mornings. Swimming pool was good but as said before the place needs improvement with money spent on rooms and general maintenance.

This horrific hotel probably last rated anything more than 1 star back in the 1970's! Room was freezing as the heating didn't work, in November!! The whole place looks like its from the 70's and hasn't been cleaned or looked after since. Nothing a wrecking ball couldn't correct! I could go on but I will leave it with simply avoid.

We were able to have dinner which was self service buffet style. Food was basic but tasty. Whole hotel can do with investment but was a comfortable stay. Breakfast was buffet style... More

We only stayed one night, I would list everything wrong with this hotel but there just isn't enough room, my main concern is how the building is still standing!! When you hear the staff say they wouldn't stay there and that the owners want to sell plus the council have put a preservation order on the ridiculous orange balconies you... More

On a cheap break with The Holiday Shop, we spent 10+ hours on a coach from the IOW to Devon, arriving in darkness, hungry and shattered. Our first experience was going straight into dinner, which was standard fare but wholesome and plentiful. Knowing in advance that the lift was broken, we'd expected to haul our cases up to our rooms,... More
