We have just returned from a really fabulous one night stay at the Bridge House Hotel. The staff were very helpful and charming and we loved the fact that there was a note with our dogs name on it along with two dog treats and a dog towel to use. The bedroom was amazing with a four poster bed...thank you...

The rooms I saw (3) all look of a good standard although my room and bed was smaller out of the three. The best room was the one in the house (not the Coach House) however it was a more expensive room. A good selection of freshly cooked breakfast choices were available. We did have to wait a while to...

Very comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Pet friendly, supplying towels and treats for them. One of the most comprehensive and delicious breakfast menus I've seen. Evening meals a bit pricey but very good. Lovely walks in the area

My son and his family bought this night away for us for Christmas. The welcome was very friendly and they made us feel very important. Small, but excellently decorated. Antique furniture, small cosy bar area and lounge. We were upgraded to a fantastic room at the back of the hotel, overlooking the gardens. Quite a shock when we saw the...

Having lived locally it is very easy to drive past this excellent hotel as the road is quite narrow and their car park is not well signed. I always thought it was a pub and not the place that it is. I met a friend there for lunch and I can only say it was excellent. I was not picking...

Had a good stay here, and the staff are lovely. They are smiling and helpful, despite some guests never saying please and thank you. The rooms were nicely furnished with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. The bed was really comfy, but the creaky floor above did disturb our sleep when the guests moved around. It is an...

The bar is small and has no draught Beer! but if this was a problem it was more than made up for by the fantastic staff, who were a credit to the establishment. We will be back at some time in the future.

My husband and I have been visiting both the hotel and the restaurant here for 22 years, it has always been a special place for us. We recently went with our children for Sunday lunch, the food was nice enough although not of the incredible standard that it was a few years ago. The service was polite but mostly conspicuous...

Dear Famcarter, Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave your review. I absolutely accept the devil is in the detail and so I am very sorry your Sunday lunch was not perfect. All I will say is that we were let down by one member of staff that day which placed those remaining in a difficult position....

We hadn't eaten at the Bridge House for over two years. Decor wise little had changed; traditional, if a little dated. The dining room lacks atmosphere and could do with some soft background music, if only to prevent diners from feeling they could be overheard by everyone else if speaking in more than a whisper! The staff were welcoming, friendly...

Just got back from a 3 night stay with my wife for my birthday. This is a great hotel with amazing staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The room we had was awesome - a huge bed and lovely antique furniture. The bathroom only had a bath with over shower but we were told about this as we...
