Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We loved our stay and are planning to return in February! The accommodation was beautifully finished with unique touches everywhere, while remaining very comfortable. Every detail has been fully thought out. The “Bubbles in the woods” experience was great fun, even on a cold November evening and the “Hay Barn Cinema” was incredible. The only issue was deciding which movie to watch! Snuggled up under warm blankets with a hot water bottle, a selection of pick n mix sweets, popcorn, crisps, hot chocolate with marshmallows and a half time delivery of delicious pizza breads… it was fantastic. Sensational service and a gorgeous location. Everything about our stay was excellent and we can’t wait to be back.

We were expecting it to be beautiful as we had seen the pictures but it was memorable for the hosting too. We had a sneaky midweek one night for my wife’s birthday and loved it. The pressing room was stunning, beautiful high ceilings, stunning fixtures and so well designed. We had dinner in our room which was perfect, lovely to have such a nice healthy home cooked meal. The quality of ingredients for breakfast was amazing, as big Rise fans we loved the bread. We had the bubbles in the woods experience. It was a stunning location and we loved the wood fired hot tub and our cocktails were really delicious. I genuinely couldn’t fault our stay and we left with some of the amazing toiletries that made the room smell so amazing. We will be back for a longer stay and highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay with fantastic service from Ed and Dom! Both very helpful, happy and ensured our stay was delivered to the highest standard. The waitress (not sure of her name) was also helpful by providing a lovely warm experience and ensured our drinks were topped up during our meal. Great cocktail selection and all reasonably priced. The attention to detail throughout the farm was perfect, the exterior and interior were beautifully implemented throughout and I understand the owners have personally selected and uniquely hand picked the furnishings themselves from vintage shops. We stayed in the Pressing Room once used to store baskets of fresh apples ready to be pressed to make cider. The room is a large open-plan living with a dinning area and a kingsize bed. Double-height wooden ceiling with wooden beams adding to beautiful rustic style with historic flagstone flooring. Loads of natural lighting during the day thanks to double French doors looking over the fields. No expense spared, they provided complimentary toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner and body-wash, all hand made and also available to buy in their gift shop. Thank you to Chef Mark for his lovely seasonal menu served at “The Cart Shed” the menu was carefully curated by the chef himself and the food was spot on, delicious and tasty. The Pear Tarte Tatin was my favourite and this was to share however it was so tasty I had it all to myself. Must try is the West Country Scallops in their shells, full of flavour and beautifully presented. We also had an early evening meal on Sunday which again was amazing, home made Beef Bourguignon served with mash. This was home made and a very good portion. The breakfast hamper was fully prepared by the farm ready to cook in the comfort of your own room, all fresh and enough to make a full English breakfast. For true cinema lovers, you can indulge your passion by booking the onsite cinema barn all to yourself! Choose films from Netflix or Apple TV and treat yourself to snacks and sweets in the comfort of your own barn with heated blankets and a hot water bottle. We stayed in late October, Sunday to Tuesday and our room was heated to the correct temperature making it cosy in the evenings. Also, they offer a large car parking area with an electric charging point.

I cannot rave about this place enough and cannot wait to return for another visit! Our room was absolutely stunning and so warm and cosy. We also booked the cinema experience which was fantastic. We also had our 1 year old daughter and 2 dogs with us so it was great to do something all together without having to leave the dogs in our cabin. The breakfast was delicious as were the pizzas in the cinema experience. The bar is great and the drinks were so tasty and there was a great selection. The family are so kind and we cannot wait to visit again soon. Thank you for having us!

We couldn’t fault our stay with the outbuildings. We stayed in the Cider room and only wished to have stayed longer. The outbuildings is a great base to explore as it is a short drive to the beach, a couple of minutes from the lovely bridport and an abundance of supermarkets and farm shops. The rooms are designed to a very high spec which have everything you could need. We look forwarding to returning!

Our second stay at the Outbuildings… we came for a family wedding which was actually hosted at the outbuildings. We stayed for 4 nights. The rooms are farm buildings converted into modern, clean and well planned accommodations, but with an ‘antique rustic’ feel to the fixtures fittings and furniture, and of course a large comfortable bed. The countryside/farmyard setting provides for a relaxing stay. The family run management of the establishment is professional, efficient and well organised down to every last detail. The whole stay and the wedding itself was just fabulous (and no doubt the perfect weather was a blessing), however we will be returning to stay again at the outbuildings and to further enjoy the local attractions.

The Outbuildings, recently hosted our Daughter and Son-in-law‘s wedding. We had stayed here for a weekend a few years ago and found the properties to be stunning, with amazing attention to detail and fabulous setting, not to mention the hosting and cleanliness. The Outbuildings venue was everything we had hoped for and more for the wedding. The intimacy of the Haybarn for the ceremony, followed by the Courtyard and bar for the reception was an enchanting set up. From the colour pallet , flowers and rustic setting and perfectly positioned props, nothing had been overlooked. We can’t thank you enough for helping to bring our Daughters’ wedding vision to life. This venue made our wedding dreams come true. The beauty of the venue and kind professionalism of those working there will forever be a part or our wedding memories!

We’ve just had a one night stop in The Sty, this place is amazing. Every detail in the room is perfect and very on trend for shabby chic rural industrial or whatever you want to call it. We took our own dinner and cooked in the kitchen then sat on our terrace with a fire lit in the hearth till late. The bed is very comfy, great shower with lovely bath products. This place is pricy but what you get is very special. By the way the bar and gardens are beautiful too and some very good own brand gin and local beers…. And since you’d never find the staff as the site is sprawling… you just call them or txt them and they are there in seconds! Works very well.
