We had another wonderful time at Laverstock farm. The goats were the highlight of the trip for our youngest, but the game room was so much fun for the whole family. The cottage is always perfectly clean and warm. It’s always a pleasure to go in the colder months so you can cozy around altogether. Thank you Laverstock, for another lovely trip.

Possibly the most beautiful setting you can imagine. 360 stunning rural views, not a car or road in view. The grounds are spectacular with discreet swings etc for the children, ponds, shepherds huts, picture postcard cottages, kitchen gardens, chickens, pygmy goats - you name it its there. Our group used 2 of the cottages and a shepherds hut. All finished to the same beautiful standard, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Close to the jurassic coast. Kind and friendly hosts. Perfection.

I love this place. It is the second time we have been and we stayed in one of the shepherd's huts both times. It is such a beautiful, secluded spot, but has the bonus of a kitchen with electricity and there is a great shower room up near the cottages. The shepherd's hut itself is perfect - the bed is so comfortable and they welcome dogs which is great. The little extras that the owners provide, such as flowers in the hut and fresh eggs from the farm, are a lovely touch. The setting is just stunning - you are surrounded by the most beautiful countryside if you like walking - and it's an easy drive to Bridport if you need anything. Highly recommend.

Fernhill Cabin at Laverstock Farm is so well appointed. The bed was the most comfortable we have stayed in for a long time, the kitchen is perfect and the shower and toilet for a shepherd's hut are amazing. The location is absolutely stunning - tucked away as it is, you feel the tranquility of being in a rural location with its view of the Dorset hills, surrounded as we were by amusing and entertaining sheep with their lambs. Yet at the same time, with the house and other accomodation down the hill, you don't feel totally isolated and help/support is there if you were to need it. We also enjoyed walking around the farm, seeing the goats, cows and their calves and the pigs too. Our small Westie dog Alfie took a shine to the pigs who were just about his sort of level and size - almost a holiday romance ! We did encounter an issue with the hob not working but with a very swift email response from Emma it was soon resolved. Sometimes it is inevitable that you will encounter the odd issue while you're away but we always feel the measure of a top place to stay is the quality of the response and action taken to resolve the issue. Again, we rate your service/support as excellent.

I stayed in Lambrook Cottage for a get together with friends. We had such a lovely time and didn't leave the farm all weekend. The cottage is perfect for socialising with a large kitchen/lounge/dining area where we could all be together in front of the cosy log burner. The well equipped kitchen made cooking a joy and the fresh eggs provided on arrival made for a yummy breakfast. It was a treat to have the hot tub as well and the rural location made it perfect for star gazing in the evening. The Cottage itself is on a country estate and you can walk around the gardens and see the chickens and goats. It's lovely to wander around so you don't need to go anywhere. Would definitely recommend it and we will be back!

We had a lovely stay with friends this weekend, lovely house in beautiful surroundings, good garden space and the swings and slide great for our kids, as we're all the animals to look at, cows, chickens and goats. Cottage was well equipped and nicely decorated. Our dog was welcome making it very easy for us.

We were so happy with the Shephards hut we booked. Herdwick Hut was really remote and in its own quiet spot away from the main house and cottages. It was next to a babbling stream and had everything we needed. The fire pit was awesome, the bed was comfy and the views were stunning. Would highly recommend if you like a bit of glamping and being remote.

What a gorgeous stay, everything was thought of! In an idyllic setting feeling private in our own field overlooking the cows. The shepherds hut was very cute, our own private hot tub heated up by a log burner was fun! and a fire pit with marshmallows and sticks provided. There were lovely walks around the farm, seeing the animals and there was a games room to play pool and ping pong. It was such a lovely relaxing getaway!
