My husband and I did a 6 day Dorset walk and Kresta's B&B was one of our accommodation stops. We can't speak highly enough of the accommodation and of Kresta. We had the top floor of the B&B to ourselves. Our bedroom was huge, so was our bathroom and the breakfast room. So private, comfortable and relaxing. Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Kresta was very keen to make sure we enjoyed our stay and were comfortable and happy. Her local knowledge was extensive and she was extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty to choose from eg fruit, ceral, museli bars etc and then a hot breakfast. This is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend Kresta's B&B.
Kresta's is an absolutely first-rate bed and breakfast. I have stayed in many four-star hotels which are inferior. Kresta lets out the top floor of their property and has a policy of having only one visitor or group of visitors at a time. There are two bedrooms, a bathroom and the breakfast room. I had the bedroom at the front overlooking the main street in Bridport but I was not disturbed at all by noise. The room was very big with a very comfortable bed, a wardrobe and chests of drawers, a televison, two chairs and a table with tea and coffee making facilities. There were plenty of lights which made reading at night a pleasure. Free WiFi was available but I did not make much use of it.. I particularly liked the fact that there were extension leads on the electric sockets. It is unlikely that any visitors would have so many devices that they would need to use all the sockets. The bathroom was spacious and well-equipped. Needless to say, everything was perfectly clean. There were many nice touches. To give just a few examples, bottles of water were provided, there were bathrobes in the wardrobe and there was plenty of information about the area (books as well as tourist brochures). Visitors are asked to make there selection for breakfast by 7pm the previous evening. I had the full English breakfast and it was excellent - real freshly squeezed orange juice included. There is parking at the back of the building - they will send you directions and photographs of the turns to the car park which were really helpful. The appoach is quite narrow and would be difficult in a large car. Kresta and Phil were very helpful when I booked and very welcoming when I arrived and friendly and pleasant during my stay. At £60 a night it was a bargain. I cannot imagine anywhere better to stay in Bridport.…
We had our own twin room, small dining room and bathroom for a wonderful three night stay. Kresta and Phil are charming and friendly hosts with a very informal and relaxed feel. Our breakfasts were amazing - bowls of real fresh fruit, yoghurt, full English and salmon with scrambled eggs...green and herb teas provided, snacks, biscuits and bananas for later in case we were still hungry! The bathroom was airy and clean, the beds were firm and comfortable, and the position was perfect...hope to return soon!
Kresta's B&B is excellent. The accommodation is warm, clean and very well decorated. We love the quirky touches that made us feel so welcome. The rear bedroom is quietest as it is away from the main road. Kresta looked after us so very well; the breakfasts are so very tasty with lots of choice. Gives easy access to the town.
We stayed during the Bridport Folk Festival. Kresta has a policy of only letting to one group at a time and you have the whole top floor available. Choice if two bedrooms, bathroom and breakfast room. All spotlessly clean and a breakfast choice comparable to any hotel. The place to stay when in Bridport. If your car is too big for their parking place there is a long stay car park 5 mins walk away. The website definitely needs updating and I would recommend this as well as the olive tree restaurant close by.
