On our way back to Cornwall we stopped here for lunch and decided to stay the night. There was only one room available that’s was a family room. Excellent measures have been taken to keep guests safe and Covid free. The room was lovely and comfortable, the bed generous in size with premium brand toiletries and tea/coffee supplies. The toiletries were in large bottles and you are encouraged to take them and the coffee and tea supplies as they are thrown out after checkout. The menu was good, the food tasty and the breakfast generous and there was so much choice it was hard to choose. 5 stars go to all of the staff who were helpful polite and charming. We can recommend The Bull and we will definitely stay again

We found the staff to be really good, they were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast! We had a good sized room which was very comfortable. We loved the vintage style furnishings although the mirrors were not at the right height to be of any great use! It is a shame that the general cleanliness was let down by the fact that the toilet bowl and the extraction fan in our room needed some attention as they were not as clean as they should have been. The duvet was very thin and flat, disappointing when other soft furnishings were of such good quality.

We had a beautiful lunch in the courtyard, welcoming staff who ensured covid guidelines were followed showing us to our allocated table. Impeccable service and food of an extremely high standard. A high quality venue

Visited the Bull recently with friends and received great, friendly service. We opted for the roast and it tasted as delicious as it looked, and left me craving more. Despite the weather being torrential rain, our visit wasn't dampened in any way. Emma in particular, was a trooper, serving guests out in the courtyard in such weather, whilst still remaining very polite and helpful. One gentlemen (i believe his name was Cameron) even offered us his umbrella, which was most appreciated and very kind. All the other staff we came across also made us feel just as welcome. Would definitely visit again and recommend anyone else to do so.

I'm not one to leave a review but felt today was the day to do it. I always saw the bull as a place that was out of my price range, but don't be deterred. I met up for a meal with friends and it is, honestly, the best afternoon I have had in a long time. As your average 'fella' I looked at the menu and hoped it was worth it. Then I had my meal. It wasn't a pub grub plate. I was served a generous portion of everything I love in a roast, and the parts of a meal I would think "yes it's nice but I wouldn't miss it". I found those were the parts of the meal I enjoyed most. I don't how they made cauliflower cheese taste so good, but they did. I found myself flagging down the chef just for the gravy recipe. Not only that but the staff made us feel so welcome. They take your average group of people and make them feel like they are the guest of honour. I want to give a particular shout out to our servers Emma, Cameron, and Jack. They really went the extra mile, and made me feel like it was nothing. Not only will this be the place I go for a special meal, but this is now the only place to be for me.
