We have just had a lovely stay in a 3 bedroomed cottage, Sailaway at this holiday centre. Checking in was straightforward and we felt very safe, even in these Coronavirus times. The accommodation was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The bedrooms were comfortable and nicely decorated. We went with another couple and there was an en-suite bathroom in main bedroom, a large bathroom with efficient shower over the bath and a downstairs toilet and wet room. Self catering was easy as there were plenty of pans and utensils. The site was very quiet and the parking was brilliant. Very good position for the town and within easy walking distance of the beach. The local supermarket Nisa stocked all that we needed and there was a very good ironmongers/ general store as well as a gift shop. We ate at The George pub and although the gardens weren’t open due to limited staff but the food was good and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The local cafe, The Bankhouse was also very good for both morning coffee and lunch.
The staff in the cafe were really caring and obviously looked after the local community..

Stayed down is this wonderful campsite in Charmouth just 10 minutes walk from a lovely pebble beach, with lovely walks and few cafes!! Possible to walk from Charmouth Beach round to Lyme Regis Beach, takes around an 1½, great for fossil hunting with younger children, hours of entertainment and discovery. There is also a free entry fossil museum just on to one side of the beach, it is only small but definitely very enjoyable for the younger one. The staff at the site are very lovely and friendly!! The facilities and surprisingly clean for a self service campsite, it was quite shocking really, there is a pool, and a wonderfully sized play park for the younger ones, entertainment on every night, as well as a takeaway restaurant if you fancy it. The pitches are a great size for both single and double axel caravans, and motorhomes, clean water and waste water facilities are always close by to every pitch so you don't have to worry about walking a mile to get water for your cuppa! The one and only let down was that a few of the power outlets for the caravan pitches were out of use resulting in needing to use ones off other pitches with can be an issue when it is high season. Facilities nearby, consist of a wonderful bakery which produces everything fresh every day, a pharmacy, a sweet convenience store run by a lovely couple, a co-op store, a takeaway that offers anything from fish and chips, pizza and churros to boozy milkshakes, a pub that is 5 minutes walk from the site that offer a classic skittles alley that can be rented out for 2hrs a time for £20 on top of a beer garden, wonderful food and great service. The site is around 20 minutes to Seaton and a further 10 minutes to Lyme Regis, give time for a lovely lovely day out without extending yourself to far. Would definitely recommend this site if you prefer a quieter side to camping.

Not wanting all the hassle of an overseas holiday, we booked, a little hastily, a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom cottage in this gated development with onsite pool and parking in the pretty coastal village of Charmouth within a 5 minute drive of Lyme Regis. Once booked we were a bit concerned it was part of a larger holiday centre with a camping section, caravans and motorhomes and clubhouse etc. We needn’t have worried as it was all separate with its own parking space. Lovely setting in the village with 2 pubs, a bakery, good general store, fish and chip shop and cafe (the latter was closed but not sure why). Good, clean and spacious accommodation with a slightly overlooked patio garden. Would have been 5 stars but the pool was closed with some lame excuse about lack of ventilation - but had been open before when it would have been busier. Would return and would hope the pool would be open. Loads to do in the area too

Just spent a week here and loved every minute. Ideally situated for trips to Axminster, Lyme Regis or Weymouth.

Found the place quite easliy but didn't use the postcode provided. Better off using Google Maps (Lat & Long). Entry is initially via the main caravan park entrance then round to the lodge office on the left. Covid protection measures are in place so key collection and welcome are safe and straight forward. Once you have your keys it's a very short drive right out of the caravan park then next right to the gated lodge area.

Dedicated parking is great, usually right outside your lodge. The lodges themselves are clean, spacious and well equipped. Loads of room for our party of three (2 x Adults & 1 x 12 y/o) and very comfortable. Our particular lodge, Rest Ashore, had two bathrooms and two showers so there was hardly any waiting for a shower.

Charmouth itself is just there. Once you step outside the gate, you're in it. 5 minute walk to the beach and lots of shops, pubs and food places in easy reach.

Would highly recommend this location if you fancy a break.

We stayed on one of the cottages on site for a week. Cottage clean and comfortable with everything included that we needed. Decent sized patio area as well. We paid for the wifi which wasn’t particularly brilliant.
Site owners were friendly and helpful.
We used the pool three times with no issues - the toilets/showers could maybe do with more regular checking / cleaning.
Site is secure and safe for kids, lovely on site park with another park with a large pitch and exercise equipment about a 5 minute walk away.
5 minutes walk to a takeaway, cafe, pub bakery and shop with another pub another 5 mins walk on. About 15 mins walk to the beach and heritage centre.
Regular bus service goes to Lyme Regis and other nearby towns.
When we booked in January, the on-site clubhouse/ takeaway was a draw however this closed in May. We all agreed that we would have liked some family nightlife and this was one of the reasons we went for this site in particular. Is a shame nothing could have been sorted for the busy Summer holidays.
All in all, a lovely, safe site with good facilities and close to many amenities.

Booked a 2 bed "cottage" called "Rest Assured" which we went halves on with another couple / best friends. We usually go abroad together but owing to Covid travel restrictions decided on this instead. It was a great choice!
Check in was fairly straight forward at the main office but the cottages are accessed through a separate private electronically gated entrance, so really secure & away from the main camp site> It was quiet & up the hill a bit & a very easy walk to the pub or fish & chip / Pizza takeaway. We were spoilt with fantastic sunny weather all week & had some great days out at nearby West Bay, Lyme Regis & Sidmouth. Would we recommend? YES!

Totally first class in every respect. Warm welcome from the friendly Family run site. All facilities are clean and well managed, with endless supplies of hot water in the showers etc. We had a daily dip in the immaculate indoor heated swimming pool, which is very well managed. It has many facilities on site which meet the needs of a family holiday, in a lovely part of Dorset.

We love the location of Manor Farm, which has so many benefits to give a truly relaxing holiday. An easy walk to the village shops and local amenities. Short walk to the beach and the Jurassic Coast. Regular bus service to places along the coast, Lyme Regis / Bridport etc, with a stop just near the site entrance. You can forget the car during your stay on Manor Farm.

Once at Manor Farm, we feel that we are in a different world and on a truly relaxing holiday. The site is very tranquil and calm, and with the added bonus of good sea air, you cannot avoid feeling that you have come to a very special place.

Overall - this is a truly first class site and is extremely well managed by a friendly, caring and professional family team.

We only stayed for 2 nights, 1 adult 1 child to do some fossil hunting!
Warm welcome at reception, once we found it.
Told we can pitch pretty much anywhere, so we chose what was supposed to be a quiet spot. It wasnt really, noise from the fair ground, road and club house etc. So ear plugs bought!
Club house was really good. Good food, good bar, entertainment etc. But the bingo caller, please stop him singing, it was like watching a live version of Phoenix nights!
Only about a 10 minute walk to the beach, and 2 mins to shops, fish bar, pub etc.
Overall, for just the 2 nights was good

A holiday camp set up with a few purpose built cottages in another area
Cottages are a good size, although lacking in any kind of finesse on the outside yard areas - just a pub type bench to sit on
They do have both a washing machine and dishwasher . Plentiful hot water
Cleanliness mixed . Disappointed with attention to detail.
Many light bulbs not functioning , cleanliness and quality of some of the kitchen appliances & utensils was unacceptable
Felt the bathrooms to be dated especially the so called downstairs wet room - it looks more like a shower for your dog
Owners take the passive aggressive approach - so be prepared for this
Good position for the beach and central for many excursions
Generally I would say its ok as no value added basic holiday cottage.

Just returned from a wonderful stay on a touring pitch at Manor Farm. The staff were lovely and friendly, the site was well kept and the toilets were kept lovely and clean. The site has a lovely view one way over Charmouth and the other over the fields of the Jurassic cliffs. Very safe for the grandchildren who were able to ride their bikes, go swimming and play in the playground. It is also within walking distance to the beach, local shops and pub selling excellent meals and play park for children. I would disregard all the negative comments about this park, we certainly enjoyed it and would return in the future.
