We stayed at the Cliff House for two nights in April 2018. It has a fantastic location at the end of the road atop the cliffs overlooking the sea, with stunning views up and down the coast from the grounds and the breakfast room, and wonderful views of the sea from the rooms as well. We stayed in the Stonebarrow room, which is large, clean, modern, attractively decorated, and well-appointed, including a small fridge, which is so helpful to folks like us who pack our lunches. Wifi was fine. Breakfasts were very good. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. My only suggestion would be to add more mats to the bathroom floor, which was quite cold. Also, the water pressure in the shower was very low. All in all, we were very happy with our stay at the Cliff House.

We stayed for three nights. Our room was spacious, airy, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. It opened onto the garden from which there was a spectacular view. Our hosts were pleasant and helpful and the location is very peaceful.

We stayed one night at Cliff House as we were attending friends wedding in the area. The room was lovely, very spacious and well equipped and a fantastic view over the sea. The hosts were very welcoming and had a fantastic cooked breakfast. Definitely would recommend. Lovely place to stay for longer.

This B&B is an upside down house placed on the top of a cliff offering fantastic views of the adjoining coastline...& on a clear day, all the way across to Torbay. Things to do include grabbing a trowel and going to hunt for those wonderful little fossils. You will almost definitely find one! The sea is refreshing :) and the ambience lovely. Charmouth is a charming little town you walk through to get to one of the many walks found in the area. If you want more, Bridport with it's old fashioned charm, is only a short drive away & you can spend a small fortune "browsing" in the junk shops. The hosts, Steve & Annie, at the B&B are very friendly, accommodating & will provide a very decent breakfast to set you up for the day, while telling you where you'll find the walks etc. The rooms are very comfortable with sea views from each bedroom. The rooms are clean and spacious ...one even with a 4-poster!! Fab. They all have en-suite..also clean. All in all, it's a special place to visit that you probably won't forget in a hurry and will want to return to ....I did. :)

We really enjoyed our time at Cliff House. We stayed for 2 nights but should have stayed longer. Our room was clean, very spacious, light and airy. It had its own external entrance with a wonderful view over the coast. Breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for our charming hosts. Highly recommended.

This B&B is all about the view! The house is a fairly large upside down 1970's detached house - with a large sitting/dining room on the entrance level and the various letting rooms downstairs. Our room was a large L shaped room with an internal bathroom and a door to the garden. The bathroom was large but a little chilly - until I found the switch in the bedroom to turn the electric towel rail on. From your bed you could see the sea but take a short walk down the garden towards the cliff and you had the most amazing views from Portland Bill in the east to Lyme Regis in the west. The room was spacious with a large double bed and a settee. The bed was long and fairly soft - too soft for my wife - but i found it OK and the pillows were comfortable. The location near the cliff edge at the top of the village was very quiet and although there was another couple staying in the next door room we did not hear any sound from them, despite the bathroom having a rather noisy Saniflo pumped system. The hosts, Annie and Steve, were very welcoming. Steve cooked the breakfast - which offered the usual choice of cereals, fruit etc and eggs , bacon etc - all very generous and nice. The views from the dining room were exceptional. I suspect that in winter, when there are strong winds and lashing rain it might be a bit bracing being close to the cliff top - especially as the room only has a night storage heater for heating - but in summer it was delightful.

Our room was spacious with direct access to the garden and onto the cliff top. From there you had amazing views along the coast to Lyme Regis and towards Portland in the other direction. On arrival we were greeted by Steve offering us a cuppa. We chose to drive to Lyme Regis for something to eat in the evening as he advised there wasn't a great choice in Charmouth. Large cooked breakfast the following morning.

Stayed for one night only and found the room adequate and the owners friendly. Although it was winter it was possible to imagine the view from the room over the cliffs to be nice in summer. One thing that may be useful to visitors is the fact that as a B&B, there is no bar or restaurant and the walk down to Charmouth is about 600 yards to the high street and another few hundred yards to the first pub, the Royal Oak. Bear in mind that is a 600 yard walk back up a steep hill. The royal Oak is typical locals pub, friendly and served food, but we didn't eat. See separate reviews. There is another pub called the George.
