Sue and Mick were extremely friendly and welcoming. Considering they had had builders in the cottage was spotless ,cosy and inviting ! We enjoyed our cup of tea sat out on the patio . We were talked through the do’s and don’ts due to the COVID situation. We ate out at the George which was about a 3min walk away . We would also highly recommend. We slept soundly in the comfortable double bed. At breakfast we were greeted by Mick who took our drinks order and brought out toast there was also a selection of fresh fruit and cereals, also fruit juice . Sue made a wonderful cooked breakfast with fresh locally sourced ingredients. It was lovely to chat to them both and we found out we had a few things in common . We came away feeling we had known them both for years rather than one day . We will definitely go back and look forward to seeing the finished patio area and the slate floor by the the new side entrance . Julie and Derek

What a lovely spot and such generous hosts. We were the only guests as M and S we’re taking a few days off but they took pity on us... and they threw in the other room for us to pile all our stuff, which gave us great opportunity to regroup and sort. A tremendous couple, lovely breakfasts, top advice, the kind of thing you dream of in a B and B. Top possible recommendation!

We spent 2 nights at Rose Cottage and hope we can visit again. The hosts, Mick and Sue are friendly and warm and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was clean and spacious with large en suite. Breakfast was plentiful , with superb quality ingredients. The sausages were exceptional!Mick also booked a table for an evening meal at the nearby George pub. A kind thought.
