Stayed over two nights. Turned up after 6 on Friday so no one in the shop. Didn't matter just pitch where you like. Loads of spots to pick from, nearly all level. Wasn't busy at all. Went to shop in the morning. To book in and get a shower token (50p) as we couldn't use them in the evening. guy...

Really glad we found this lovely camp site for an impromptu camping trip to Dorset for the Bank Holiday weekend. Friendly welcome, lovely grass for setting up camp, woodland and streams to keep the kids entertained, a shop, steam trains, and amazing showers (50p for a token from the shop). Will definitely be back....

We have been past this site several times on the steam train and thought it would be a brilliant place to stay and it certainly is. We pulled up right alongside the train line and were treated to regular steam trains puffing past. This is a simple, get-away-from-it-all site with amazing dark skies. The toilet block is clean and well-kept,...

Great location, so close to Corfe Castle, the Swanage Railway (Harmans Cross) and good walks around Purbeck. It was a bank holiday and so was naturally busy. However, pre-marked pitches would help with this, we had people camping so close to us (even though there was plenty of space), that they may as well have joined in our tent. The...

Just returned from a lovely stay here, it's a very relaxed site, just choose the pitch that you like, if there's nobody in the shop, pop in when there is, and get your ticket, it's a nice quiet site with lovely views of the surrounding countryside, and you can wave to the people on the steam train. The site is...

We choose Woodyhyde Campsite for its location near Corfe Castle, and easy travel to Studland, Swanage, Lulworth etc. Interesting places to visit abound, and a bonus was a sailing trip on Moonfleet, a tall ship based at Swanage. The camp site is quite large (3 fields), some sloping pitches, two toilet/shower blocks and a convenience shop. Campers were mostly couples...

Start with positives it is an excellent location and the Isle of Purbeck is great. Negatives, the old toilet block does need replacing as very tired and as cleanliness could be better. As the site is large and does not reserve pitches it does seem popular with groups. We were unfortunate to be sited next to a large group who...

I really like it here, and would visit again. - There were lots of showers, basins to wash up in, toilets and sinks, hot water, all working and - really clean (cleaned by routine every day). - Really friendly, helpful, responsive and professional manager (I think anyone who doesn't get on with the chap must be seriously lacking in warmth...

Quite a few of us get together every year on purbeck for a festival at the square and compass, and we always stay at woodyhide, such great facilities, and an open attitude to its noisier campers......

I had not been camping for over 15 years so was little nervous about doing so especially being 5 months pregnant.... this campsite has everything and I was very, very comfortable. Woodyhyde is a family/pet friendly campsite, with lots of space and a great shop offering everything and more you could ever need for a camping trip. We had issues...
