#1 of 4 Speciality lodging in Corfe Castle
Travellers' Choice
A family-run campsite, on a working farm near Corfe Castle, in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck. We have 3 adjacent level grass fields, with electric hook up, with an additional large grass field for non- electric pitches. This site is rural and unsuitable for those seeking ready-made entertainment. We are a family site and welcome dogs. Campsite open from 1 March-31 Oct (weather permitting). We are set back from the main road (A351), but with easy access. Onsite facilities include flush toilets and chemical disposal points, private hot showers and wash basins, family room, disabled toilets and wet room, separate laundry and washing-up rooms, playground & ball games area. Campfires permitted. Wifi available. Norden House, is an on site self- catering holiday let that sleeps up to 14 guests. We also have a farm cottage of the same nature that sleeps 4. There is a comprehensive farm shop on site, well- stocked with camping essentials, general groceries and loads of local goodies.

We went as a family. My children enjoyed looking at the animals around the farm. It was a fairly peaceful site. There were a few dogs but all were kept on leads most of the time. The shop is very well-stocked and the pizza night was enjoyed by all. We cycled to Studland one day and walked to Corfe Castle another day which was 20 minutes. Lovely part of the world. Would return.

Just spent 3nights here camping for the first time. Given a beautiful spot tucked away by woods that had deer roaming free. Lovely to watch them so close in their natural environment. All facilities were spotlessly clean and were checked regularly. Shame the showers weren't open but understand why not at this time. If you are looking for a peaceful country location this is it. Only small issue Was a bit of noise from one area for a while, loud base music which didn't affect us but didn't seem to fit the quiet of the site. Don't know if the farm has any rules around this but I wouldn't have liked being right next to it. Other than that highly recommend this site and surrounding area. Made my first camping experience at 58 years old very enjoyable.

I recently visited Norden Farm for a 2 night stay (Friday - Sunday) with my dog. I would highly recommend this campsite to fellow dog owners, families and groups of friends. I received a warm welcome upon arrival and throughout my entire visit, all members of staff were friendly and approachable. One particular member of staff (unfortunately I did not get her name) was very friendly and treated me just like a friend, she was very knowledgeable about the local area and just had a lovely manner, so thank you :). The campsite is very well maintained and all the facilities were clean and well presented. It was very reassuring to know that the campsite had put in several measures to ensure that the site was 'Covid Secure' This included a detailed information sheet that was provided prior to booking and followed up by additional documentation once a booking had been made. In addition to this there were several hand sanitizers around the site, conducted frequent and regular cleaning of the toilet blocks, appropriate spacing between washing up sinks and had appropriate signage reminding of social distancing etc. Thank you for making my stay not only highly enjoyable, but also for reassuring me that you had taken all the appropriate measures in the current climate to ensure that your campsite was safe. I cannot wait to visit again!

Hi HeidiS2103, Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to write this review- it's lovely to hear your kind words and we're so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. It's especially reassuring to hear your feedback on our COVID measures as it has certainly felt like a 'stab in the dark' at times, as I'm sure all businesses/campsites can appreciate! Thank you once aain, and we can't wait to have you back soon!

This was our 2nd visit to Norden Farm. Unfortunately this visit wasn’t so good as last time when we were in Donkey field which was nice and spacious and quiet!. This time we were in Main field and the pitches were quite close together. There were lots of tents with loads of unruly kids. Some of them were firing bows and arrows, others were playing cricket, throwing frisbees and kicking balls. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for kids having fun, but some of these missiles came dangerously close to our van! The following morning, these said kids were screaming out loud at 6.15am! Hubby and I go away in our van to relax from a hard week’s work. We do not appreciate being woken up at 6.15 on a weekend! Wouldn’t it make more sense to have a field for tents and a field for vans?

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us at Norden Farm Campsite. I'm sad to hear that your second visit to us was not as enjoyable as the first. We do usually have a separate field for tents but we had to close it this year to reduce numbers on site. We also have a games area for children to play but again, we had to close this due to COVID restrictions this year unfortunately. If at any point during your stay with us you feel encroached upon, or feel there is an excessive amount of noise etc. you are always welcome to contact our office or the warden so a member of staff is able to resolve the issue. Unofrtunately, there is not much we're able to do if told after the situation has occurred. Our pitches in Main Field are spaced just the same as in Donkey Field, although I appreciate that it is a bigger field with more pitches therefore giving the impression of feeling busier. Please note that you are able to request specific pitches/ fields if you choose to camp with us again. We hope this experience wont prevent you from visiting us in the future and we hope to see you again soon.
