A family-run campsite, on a working farm near Corfe Castle, in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck. We have 3 adjacent level grass fields, with electric hook up, with an additional large grass field for non- electric pitches. This site is rural and may be less suitable for those seeking ready-made entertainment. We are a family site and welcome dogs. Campsite open from 1 March-31 Oct (weather permitting). We are set back from the main road (A351), but with easy access. Onsite facilities include flush toilets and chemical disposal points, private hot showers and wash basins, family room, disabled toilets and wet room, separate laundry and washing-up rooms, playground & ball games area. Campfires permitted. Wifi available. Norden House is an on site self- catering holiday let that sleeps up to 14 guests. We also have a farm cottage of the same nature that sleeps 4. There is a comprehensive farm shop on site, well- stocked with camping essentials, general groceries and loads of local goodies.

We stayed at Norden House for the weekend to celibrate my husband's 60th birthday with family and friends. The house is stunning and in such a beautiful setting. The building is beautiful and extremely well equipped with everything provided for a memorable stay. From very high quality bed linen, en suite bathrooms for everyone and a beautiful fully equipperd kitchen, everything was faultless. We stayed out of season because of the birthday but would love to return in better weather when we could fully appreciate the garden and outside space. A stunning place to stay

I found Norden Farm to be well presented and looked after. There is an excellent farm shop selling the grocery basics at reasonable prices, camping equipment including airbeds, gas ETC, and a small garden centre.
The showers were hot and powerful, and the toilets were clean and not smelly.
There are 3 freezers at the top field and small lockable lockers where you can charge mobiles ETC for free.
It also has 2 children's play areas and a small range of animals that children can interact with.
The only suggestion I would make is that the top field could do with pitch markers. People were pitching tents any and everywhere, making it difficult to drive on/off site.

Stayed here for 9 nights with my husband and 3 children aged 6 and 3 year old twins. We stayed in the far right main field. Good sized pitch against the trees.
Farm shop was great-a vast selection of farm stuff/veg as well as toys, cakes/bread, alcohol and camping equipment.
Toilets were clean, showers were clean but a little bit tired-the shower boards were a bit stained and the grout looked a bit scummy but that’s being picky. Plenty of hot water and the pressure was good. Great idea having unisex showers in the middle section before the doors to respective sexed showers, which were handy when showering off the kids when the family room was engaged. (The family room had a little bath in it as well as a shower and toilet) which was ideal for us as my twins hate the shower!
Washing up facilities were good.
The live music on Saturday night was great and the hog roast was yummy. It is usually on a Wednesday too but due to poor weather it was cancelled.
As mentioned before, it’s a working farm with cows, goats, geese, peacocks etc so there are farmyard smells and it can be a bit noisy with the cockerel crowing and the peacock squawking but that’s country life for you! It didn’t bother us.
All in all we had a pleasant stay, ideal for visiting Studland beach, Corfe and not far from Weymouth, Wareham and Bovington for monkey world and the tank museum. Would we stay here again…yes but our children are growing up and so probably look for somewhere with a pool or entertainment the next time we head down to the area.

A brilliant campsite for large groups and families with young children/dogs.

The farm shop and two food “huts” are very good and not extortionately over-priced as you often find with campsite shops.

We were in the top field camping area and without marked pitches it was a bit of a challenge to find somewhere that a)was flat, b) six metres from other campers and c) not a hike to the toilet block. With only six female showers and about seven toilets serving this part of the campsite they did get extremely busy at peak times. The site is so big it really could do with additional facilities, even if these were only open during high season.

If you are looking for a quiet site this really isn’t for you. There were lots of young children and teens playing around the site and the noise from the dedicated football area really carried across the site. The worst thing was the yapping dogs though.

Room Tip: Brilliant farm shop that opens at 8am but it’s a bit of a trek from the top field.

Disappointed - This was our first visit to Norden in our Campervan, we had high expectations reading the reviews and popping in to look around before we booked last year.
This an open and honest review..
We arrived and was greeted in reception by a friendly young lady who swiftly checked us in and showed is where our pitch was. (She was grateful for the large bag of books I took for the book swap)
We were allocated D18 in the Donkey Field.
My first thought upon entering the field was how extremely close everyone was, especially as there are signs everywhere about the 6mtr rule, this is a 6mtr gap between each tent, caravan, motorhomes etc. This is a rule most campsites have due to fire regulations. Some pitches there wasn't even a mtr between??
We arrived to our pitch where we told we could pitch up anyway we wanted as long as we pitched between the yellow posts.
I completely understand we have had alot of rain the last few weeks but to arrive to a pitch that was just mud was not acceptable. At the time of booking I was asked if I had any special requests, which I politely requested not to be under trees. We were put under trees in a dingy area, with mud everywhere.
This pitch clearly hadn't been checked and should not have been let out. There seemed to be quite a few pitches exactly the same. Walking around the site there were plenty of empty pitches that could have been allocated that were in better condition. Not acceptable upon paying £45 per night just for a grass pitch.
After pitching up, no one came around to ensure we pitched correctly, no sign of a member of staff at all for 2 days, apart from a team member cutting certain areas of grass.
The facilities are small ie showers /toilets, for the amount of guests on site. The floors were dirty, toilets not clean and upon having a shower this morning were awful and that was just after 9am, so not late where plenty had not used them yet.

The shop was well stocked with a good selection, albeit a tad expensive but it is a farmshop after all so you expect to pay more.
The fishing lake was a bonus and the grandkids loved that. The kids larger park where the event field was, was good, the smaller park could do with an update.
Would we visit again? sadly not..
I spoke with a gent who was a seasonal tourer, who had been there for a good few years, he said they don't do anything to the pitches, it's the same every year. He too agreed that the pitching is very close together and they don't get checked.

Lovely area, nice bonus if you like fishing, well stocked farm shop.
Pitches muddy, wet, and not looked after, no fire risks adhered too at all in regards to pitching which could end in tears if there was a fire.
That needs be looked at...

Reading the pervious review stating awful. We'll we're the neighbors and certainly had no conversation about moving pitches. Yes the peacocks start at 4am but you soon got used to it and he always pops his head in the tent on his way and says hello. How many can say that about when they went camping. Lots of other animals here to and all seem rather friendly It's all part of the site being a working farm. The geese also do the rounds and often pop by to say hi. As for the site we can't fault it. Free showers with constant hot water, free freezers and fridge for anyone to use, free iron and we rarely got that on other sites. Good farm shop and facilities the was spotless. The catering shack was ideal and reasonably priced The surrounding area is lovely with some great walking and was treated to fantastic views. Studland beach was great in July but Id imagine it gets extremely busy in school hols.. only down side to our stay is there's not a lot in the local area and you do have to travel. Corfe castle is lovely and has some great pubs and it's just a 20min walk. We will definitely be returning

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and we both wish we stayed longer! It had everything we needed: warm showers, washing up area, washing machine (£3), shop, fridge, freezer, charging lockers, food truck, bar, live music (Wed & Sat), bins and LOADS of animals. We loved watching the farmers feed the calves and piglets and would learn a lot about all the farm animals. Chickens and peacocks roam about but you can always say hi to the goats, pigs and cows. All the staff are so kind and work very hard - the campsite is spotless and the facilities get cleaned daily. Corfe Castle is a 20 min walk away which we often did as Corfe is such a cute town with lots of pubs. We pitched on the top field where we had an AMAZING view and made friends with people around us. The day we got home we booked for a week in October as we loved it so much. We plan to make this an annual holiday - just a lovely, calm place to be.

Thank you Norden Farm <3

Fantastic location, lots of local places and natural wonders to explore. Only a 20 min walk to Corfe Castle, otherwise you will be driving, or on the train to Swanage.
Well stocked shop with some (reasonably) local produce. Buy your own essentials and drinks before you arrive
There is an off putting set of rules, but these are probably necessary with so many people with varying attitudes to acceptable behaviour. The toilets, showers and washing up areas were faultless. The staff we met were great. The goats could maybe have had an enriched environment, but I’m not a farmer so what do I know?
Great family site.

Just got back from a 2 night stay. Our first time here, was recommended by several friends, only 1 hour 15 drive for us from Somerset, which was good! We wanted to wait till after summer holidays in the hope that it wasn’t crazy busy, site actually looked full, not a huge amount of kids there, but never felt too busy, if that makes sense.

Loved all the animals & peacocks wandering around! Cockerel was a good 8am alarm clock!

Decided last minute to take the car & our caddy van (as it’s easier to load the tent etc) & so we easily paid for additional vehicle on arrival.

Checked in around 12:30pm, great level ‘extra large’ pitch in main field with electric hook up.

Shop was fab & has loads of essential items & treats! opening hours are fairly good 8-6 daily.

They sell doggie ice cream & they have frozen raw dog food too, which is great to know for future stays as I bring our own with us & it takes up a fair bit of room in our fridge!

Love that Corfe is only a 15 minute off road scenic walk, having 2 dogs with us, it’s important we can walk safely away from the main road to get to shops, pubs etc, so we found this location perfect!
You can walk to Norden Station 10 minutes away to get the steam train to Swanage, it stops in Corfe too, but you do have a brief walk along a busy road to get there, but there is a large grass verge.

Facilities at the campsite were really good! Toilets were clean, hot showers, washing up area great, plenty of space & a laundrette.

Take away van in pond field is good, lovely, friendly, we treated ourselves to some food from there, even though we had brought BBQ food with us & we ate lunch out in Swanage!

Loved Swanage, lots to see & do there & great dog walks!

We were so fortunate with the weather, don’t think we’ve ever been camping before & had such great weather, I’m definitely a fair weather camper!!

Slight grumble from someone this morning at 10:50am we were almost completely packed up except for the tent. We have an air tent & it takes minutes to deflate & pack away, he had a moan about being gone in 10 minutes, tapping his watch. I had actually lost my phone & we were searching for it which is why we were running slightly late. Turns out it was inside the tent & we had now deflated it! We were worried about getting grumbled at again, so we just shoved the tent in the van, once we got home we got the tent out in the garden & opened it back up & found the phone inside!

WiFi wasn’t great, didn’t bother me, I had plenty of data, we used it to hotspot to the iPad & watched a movie on Netflix.

Looking forward to returning next year!

Thanks a great stay!

The location is perfect, a five minute walk to norden station to catch the steam train to swanage, 20 mins to Corfe village (there’s a climb up which gives you a fabulous free view of the castle).
Check in was contact free but unfortunately wasn’t the most efficient as the instructions on displaying tags on tents and gazebos contradicted what was printed on them. He didn’t give us much confidence in general so we displayed them on our tent, and appeared to be the only ones doing so!
Pitching in main field was almost level, the pitches are marked by yellow boundary posts. Our water point was close by.
There are two toilet blocks and whilst they were ok, really need an overhaul, the facilities looked a little tired and the showers were often grubby. The central block showers were certainly the more in need of a refresh. On the plus side, the shower itself had plenty of hot water at high pressure.
The shop was fairly comprehensive, stocking the essentials and what appeared to be a good selection of camping kit in case you needed anything. Staffing restrictions had forced changes to the opening hours which confused several of us as to what time the shop opened a few mornings - the times had changed but the signs hadn’t, although some very grumpy staff member pointedly told several of us waiting for the shop to open it was clearly displayed a number of places.
Highlights were the peacock who came in to the field for his raisins most evenings and the organic dairy vending machine. Given the shorter shop hours it was great to be able to get 1 litre fill ups of some very tasty local milk - and milkshakes! Other people raved about the butter and cream.

I would come back again if they gave the shower blocks a refresh.
