Picked No 35 for a bed for the night for a trip to the cuttings for my first outdoor climbing session. It's really well located in the centre of the island, friendly welcome and a nice room. Also great to be above the pub which quickly became the meeting point for out group. We had a bar meal - fish...

Nice large room well furnished and equipped. Excellent shower. Lovely big bed and comfy chairs. There was occasional noise from passing traffic but that was not a real problem. Hamper breakfast, excellent.

Booked a last minute night away and we were definitely not disappointed! Room 4 although a smaller room was immaculate. Modern but very comfy decor, lovely bathroom with rain shower and all very clean. Everything in the room that you need with numbers to call if you needed anything provided. The secondary glazing on the windows was very effective and...

Booked on reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Owners really friendly and room spotlessly clean. We stayed in room 3 the Gold Room. The food and ale in the bar below was very good. There are a couple of things that I have to mention. The road noise is pretty bad in the morning rush hour time. and the bathroom is...

My wife and I booked a weekend stay here and we cannot rate the New Inn highly enough. The room (number 5) was huge and beautifully done out, comfy bed, bay window seat with massive bean bag to laze on and watch the world go by. The breakfast hamper is a novel, creative way to serve it up, but it's...

Having read the reviews...I feel compelled now to comment on the experience we had at the new Inn. We found the boutique hotel on the bed and breakfast searcher website. We then clicked on a link and booked our room via the hotel website. The bed and breakfast searcher website promised us a full English or continental breakfast . The...

Lovely team, great continental breakfast served in a picnic basket in the room and lovely decor. Rooms were quiet, compact and comfortable. The food at The New Inn is some of the very best on Portland - especially anything with fish! :)

Just come back from staying here for a weekend - great welcome and no problems checking in. We stayed in the king size room, and it was great. The room is not massive but good enough for a couple of nights stay; likewise the toilet is a bit of a squeeze but it is functional and clean - can't ask...
