Was at the Weymouth and portland sailing academy for an event. Turnstones is a lovely place and very close to the academy. It was very clean, well presented, and a well appointed nice size ensuite room. Lovely hosts, Thoroughly recommended.

A mini autumn break to walk round Portland. Turnstones was a good choice being 5 minutes walk from Coast Path. James upgraded my room to one at the top of the house with a view to Chesil Beach. The house was spotless and James was very accommodating around choices for breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of information around places to eat but due to virus and mainly being takeaways James was happy for me to bring food back to eat and supplied crockery and cutlery. I highly recommend Turnstones.

We stayed for one night whilst climbing on Portland and this was the perfect place for us to unwind after a long day out in the sun! Turnstones is immaculately clean and has a really calm vibe. The room was beautiful, comfortable and really quiet. The breakfast James cooked in the morning was delicious, plus breakfast times are staggered to make sure guests remain socially distanced so we felt very safe. James and his Dad Ian are also absolutely lovely - it was really nice to chat to them about life on Portland! We will be back!

We stayed for four nights at this wonderful bed and breakfast and explored the local area . James and Ian are fantastic hosts very friendly and helpful . Nothing is too much trouble . Our room had a beautiful sea view , a very comfortable bed and fluffy white towels renewed every day . James cooks a great breakfast to your order . We felt very safe here in these uncertain times as everything is spotlessly clean and James and Ian are careful to socially distance . We would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone wanting a base to explore chesil beach and the Jurassic coast .

Having stayed in a couple of ‘questionable’ places this was like a breath of fresh air. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, beautiful view from my picture window, charming hosts and a wonderful breakfast with locally sourced foods. Will be back again.
