I'd first of all like to say, I've never written a bad review. We drove past the Fiddleford Inn on our way to Blanford and when deciding where to go for lunch, we chose to drive back to it. The young staff seated us quickly even though we had not booked and were very pleasant. We arrived at 12.20 on...

My wife and I live in the vicinity of The Fiddleford Inn and have dined there many times over the years. The quality of food and service has varied during the stewardship of several landlords, but I have to say that the most recent seem to have their fingers well and truly on the pulse. During a recent visit by...

After a horrific storm with lightning which affected the pubs electrics, our walking group made it into the bar. Friendly reception, and good coffee whist we waited for all the group to dry off. All agreed that the food was good quality pub food, and the seafood platter very good with excellent salad dressing. Good walking centre with well marked...

We have eaten here on many occasions since the new management went in, delicious food every time with a good varied menu and a specials board, staff friendly and great service! Very impressed that the Chef made the time at the end of his busy shift to come and talk to us! Would recommend.

4 of us took a chance to eat here, after hearing this place had undergone yet another makeover. Grumpy bar service, unsmiling and bored chap serving - maybe we interrupted his chat with the locals, who can say. Food like a bygone 'greasy lil's' even uses dayglo office stars to highlight specials board. My salad was smaller than a garnish,...

My brother and wife (who are seasoned travellers) stayed here when visiting us recently and were extremely impressed with the quality of the accommodation (it was extensively refurbished a couple of years ago). The pub itself is not over dressed but the selection of beers (it's a Free House) were very good. We met them there for a meal in...
